This is what happens leading up to, during and after the Anniversary Fiasco in Chicago Fire- Lift Each Other. I apologize in advance... it's really long! <3
Antonio had been surprised that his sister had proposed a double date. He had rushed home from meeting with Stone and Jefferies to go over his new role as lead investigator for the DA's office. He had filled out the necessary paperwork and gotten the necessary ID for the job. This was going to be different than working Intelligence, but way easier on the family life. He stripped and had a quick shower before changing into the outfit Sylvie had suggested he wear. He had laughed when she had suggested what to wear.
"You do know I've been able to dress myself for a long time?" Antonio laughed.
"Yeah, but... this is a double date... with your sister."
"So, it's not a fashion show."
"Antonio... please?" She had pleaded.
"Fine." He surrendered. "I'll wear what you picked."
He changed and was doing up his tie when Sylvie texted him.
- Ready when you are, Detective.
She knew that drove him wild. He replied back. - On my way.
He grabbed his sports coat and keys and headed out to pick Sylvie up.
Sylvie had spent the past two days going over which outfit she should wear for their double date with Gaby and Matt. She finally settled on a pair of black leggings and a black with yellow flower print, halter-style tunic. She slid on her boots and went outside to wait for Antonio. They didn't live that far apart, so she didn't have to wait long. His Dodge pick-up pulled up to the curb. She opened the door and hopped in. She leaned over and kissed him. "Hey."
"Hey." He grinned. "How was your day?"
"Well, it was my day off... so I went to Zumba, went to coffee with Kidd after then came home and made a bunch of make ahead meals."
"Productive day." He put the truck in gear and headed to the restaurant. "What kind of make ahead meals did you all make?"
"Oh, you know... lasagna, chilli, and stew... enough for you to have lunches and some suppers on the days I can't cook for you." Her cheeks filled with colour. Even in the dim light, Antonio could see she was blushing.
