I took a huge puff from my cigar and blew out the smoke while, thinking of where did all this women escape after killing their husbands? More than that why particularly Navarathri? There must be a motive for them to kill within this time of the year?

I was ruling out the possibilties of less noise and being inconspicuous. Something about Navarathri and their killings must have a strange connection.

I was writing down the facts about Navarathri, the celebration of how Maa Durga killed Mahsishasur, the demonic buffalo who was antagonising the world and how he tried to attain her as his consort.

Normally, besides these reasons there must be a strong reason why they would want to kill their husbands.

Navarathri, is also one of the significant festivals whereby women come together to pray to the goddess to bless them with a long married life and pray for the well-being of their other half.

However, it does not add up to the motive because there are other festives like Karwa Chauth which holds more substance to why they could have killed their husbands on Karwa Chauth than Navarathri, Karwa chauth is the only festival in which women fast and pray for the long lifes of their husbands.

I went on google trying to research more on the significance of the event. Instead, of getting more clues I almost ended up losing my mind.
