*Chasten*
Walking into school that day was hell. Every time someone came up to me I was convinced that they would ask me about my ability or start a fight.
My bandage attracted a lot of attention, and curiosity that radiated from everyone set me on the edge. First period hasn't even started, and I'm already a nervous wreck.
Stepping into science, I take my seat in the back of the room. Slowly, people trickled in and took their respective seats.
Lo was among the last to enter. Immediately, something was off.
It's was like she was trying to put her hand over a jar of sloshing liquid to prevent it from leaking out.
Her emotions were muffled, but I could still feel them. She was nervous, excited and scared?
She took her seat next to me and sat rigidly in her chair. Ms. Banks voice droned, but I paid no attention.
Lo's emotions held my attention.
I knew that she figured it out.
She knew that I was "listening" and tried in vain to keep her emotions from spiking every blink, breath and word I did.
When the class ended, she was it of the class before I could say emoji.
