Two Days Later.
14th March 2020.
The group are in another truck during the evening, Warren's driving whilst Math and Esme are asleep. Oliver and Kara are sat out in the back.
Oliver: Look at all these stars.
Kara: I know, you can actually see them now.
Oliver: Thank god. So, Kara, I've been thinking.
Kara: That's not safe.
Oliver: And, okay. I've never really done this so.
Oliver: I like you, I really like you.
Kara: Tell me something I don't know.
Kara: I mean, there's always been this unspoken thing between us.
Kara: And that night, when we kissed. I knew how I felt, clearly.
Oliver: And that is?
Kara: Do I really need to say it?
Oliver: Well I'd like you too.
Kara kisses Oliver.
Oliver: So, how about we stop thinking it and start doing it?
Kara: I'd love too.
Oliver: Good. That's cool.
Kara: It is.
Oliver: What should we do?
Kara: We check it out, we leave if it's weird.
Oliver: But the others might want to stay.
Kara: I guess. I don't know.
Oliver: Me either.
Kara: We'll stick together, right?
Oliver: Obviously. Like I'm just going to leave you.
Kara: Alice did.
Oliver: I remember you saying, but I'm not Alice.
Oliver: I'm Oliver.
Kara: No shit.
Oliver and Kara both laugh. They talk into the night before falling asleep. When they wake up, the truck is stopped and Warren is sat on the hood. Oliver goes over.
Oliver: Warren, what happened?
Warren: The engine, it's busted. There's nothing we can do.
Oliver: Right, fuck.
Oliver: Where's Math and Esme?
Warren: Still asleep.
Warren: You and Kara sleep alright out there?
Oliver: Weirdly, yeah we did.
Warren: You don't want to go.
Oliver: Sorry?
Warren: You don't want to leave this, you'd rather be out here than in a safe place.
Oliver: Yeah. It's just me I guess.
Warren: I think we should think about it, I mean do we really want to split up?
Oliver: No, we shouldn't.
Warren: I know Math wants to stay there.
Oliver: Kara said she does whatever.
Oliver: I don't know Warren.
Warren: I don't expect you to.
Oliver: What do you mean?
Warren: What?
Oliver: Nevermind.
Warren: So, are you and Kara together yet?
Oliver: Shouldn't we wake them up? So we can move on?
Warren: Yeah, sure.
Oliver and Warren wake the others up and start heading north.
Esme: Do you think we'll ever make it?
Math: Yes and when we do, we can eat all the food.
Warren: That sounds perfect, honestly.
Kara: Tell me about it.
Oliver: Guys, what if it's not real?
Math: I'm pretty sure it is.
Esme: Oliver, you should be happy. We can finally live without fear.
Warren: Dean sounded pretty real.
Oliver: You'd be surprised.
Esme: Why are you trying to make us rethink?
Kara: I mean, he kinda has a point.
Math: Guys, look.
They all look at a guarded, fended structure in the distance.
Esme: We made it. We actually made it.
