Chapter Two
What do I do? Annabel thought for the third time, she was still inside the closet unable to move for the numbness of shock still enveloped her limbs. They… tried to kill me, but they succeeded in killing Andria they… anger soon shattered her shock, her rage so savage she could state it on her tongue. Those bastards wanted to kill us both just so they can the top ballet dancers in the troupe!? Her eyes narrowed into a vicious glare. I should kill them, just like they had for me and Andria! But then as her seething anger slowly began to dissipate another thought came to mind. No, wait, I can’t do that, and I can’t go to the police ether if I do they’ll figure out that it was me and might try again, what the hell can I do about this?!
Annabel made her way out of the room and wandered over to the doors, her mind clouded with shock and anger.
“Anna where are you going?” Maria asked when she saw Anna was about to leave. “Is something wrong? You look really pale.”
She forced herself to smile. “It’s nothing, I just pushed myself too hard is all, I think for today I’ll head home, I’ll be back in the week or so, okay? Say hello to your mother for me when you go to visit her.”
“I will, but are you sure you’re alright? You don’t want any of us to walk with you?”
Anna looked away from the girl. “No, I just need to clear my head, but like I said I should come by with in the week.” And then she left without another word, holding herself the entire way as she did so, her mind was a blank, everything she thought up of vanishing within a blink. She didn’t know what to do, or how to approach this right without being found out or getting herself or someone else killed in the process.
By the time she returned home her body felt broken and sore, she wasn’t aware of how long she had walked and for a while did not care, but with people that knew of her and spotted her, trying to get her attention she knew that getting home fast was important, she apologized to the fans that asked for a photo saying she had been through a long day of therapy and needed to get home to rest.
“Which most were reasonable with her and understood, others however were mean and cruel yet they still called themselves her fans. When she was inside her home she was nearly sobbing uncontrollable. It took the whole walk for her to truly become aware of what her competitors had done to Andria and had tried to do to her.
In a fit of anger, rage, sadness and despair Annabel did the one thing that would calm her down, drinking wine.
She never did it often, she would drink alcohol during social events but it would always be very little. But when her emotions would become unraveled from a great deal of stress mixed with the loss of a loved one, she would almost drink until she would become sick from it.
She headed over to her kitchen and dug out a bottle of red wine from her fridge and cracked it open before pouring it into a glass before knocking it back.
Annabel continued to do so until the bottle was as dry as a bone, when Andria was alive, he would have stopped her by the time the bottle had reached halfway but now, there was no one to do that, she could pass out drunk and no one would know.
“I wish you wouldn’t do that Anna.” Andria’s voice said to her inside her head. “You know drinking like this isn’t good for your body, you need to think of your health in long term. If your parents were still with us they would say the same thing.”
