Chapter Three
She wasn’t joking, that much Camulus could see up front.
The woman was willing to give up anything so she could get payback on the ones who ruined her life. It was foolish, yet he could also give the woman respect on why, it wasn’t for her lost career, it was for the loss of the man she loved and her life she almost lost.
“You really don’t care what the price maybe?”
“Yes,”
His deep blue eyes narrowed. “Even if it means that I want your soul?”
“Is that the price needed for what I wish?”
“Perhaps, you want these people to pay for what they have done to you, so I’ll ask you this, how do you want them to die?”
“I never said I wanted them to die.” Camulus frowned at her words as she continued. “I want them to pay for they had done to me, to Andria, but I will never fall to their level and spill blood knowing that it would only be short lived on their part. No,” her eyes became dark with rage. “I want them to live, to suffer knowing that no matter what they do, they will never be able to escape me.”
“So you don’t want them dead?” he asked just making sure, for people would always change their minds in more than a split second, but then again so would he.
“Yes, as much as I want them dead I know it won’t bring Andria back to me.”
“Then what do you intend to do?”
“I have an idea; the only problem being is…”
“You’re scares?”
“Yes.”
The Celtic god was quite for a moment, his gaze going up and down her body. “Show them to me.”
“Pardon?”
“You’re scares, show them to me let me see the extent of the damage so I can get a clear idea as to approach this.”
In other words he wanted her to strip right in front of him. She narrowed her eyes at him in scepticism. She didn’t trust him, not for a moment, even if he was a god, history proved that gods could always lie to get what they want.
“You don’t intend to do anything?”
He arched a brow. “You doubt me?”
Annabel rested her hands on her hips. “Many people know that if we do not have your word as a god you will always go back on what you’ve promised, unless you vow you will do nothing to a person.”
Camulus shrugged not denying the truth. “Alright then, I vow I will not do anything to you, unless you ask for it. How does that sound?”
She stared at him for a long moment, saying nothing then finally sighing. “Fine.” She removed her shirt and skirt before standing in front of him in her underwear. “This is as far as I go in what you see.”
“You saw me naked.”
“You didn’t care if you were.” She retorted.
