Y/N's POV

The second I stepped into the room, warmth touched my cold skin.

"Can I see now?" I giggled, holding Matthew's wrists as he covered my eyes.

"Just a few mmoorreee steps aaannnnddd open!" He quickly uncovered my eyes and I opened them. This is what he's been doing for the past hour while I was showering. He has the fireplace up and running as flames flickered, filling the room with a nice wooden smell. Not only that, he had piled all the extra blankets and pillows he could find in front of it to make a bed for us. All I could do was gasp and smile. He hugged my waist and whispered in my ear. "You like it?"

I only nodded in response and stuttered out, "B-But how did you-"

"I saw photos like this on your Pinterest with the caption "Goals". I figured you'd want something like this on such a cold day."

He was right. Most of the week the warmest it got was 3 degrees Fahrenheit and it wasn't a comfortable temperature for either of you. We both have tried so much to keep warm, but nothing seemed to work. Matthew smiled at my joyful face and led me to the makeshift bed. The dark room flickered with the orange glow from the fire..... And it was perfect. I smiled widely and laid next to him, our bodies cuddling close together as we stared at the fire. It was like we were made for each other, his body perfectly close to mine as we spooned. His fingers brushed through my hair as I turned and stared up at him."

"Whatcha thinkin' bout baby?" He whispered as a smile crept across my face.

"I'm thinking about how much I love you. How much you care about me. And how you make me so happy." I responded as I played with his hand.

"You're so adorable," he laughed and kissed my forehead gently. "I love you so much Y/N."

"I love you too Matthew." I giggled and quickly whimpered as his hand pulled away from my hair and retrieved something from his pocket.

"Marry me." He whispered.

"W-What?"

"Marry me. I want you to marry me Y/N." He smiled as he held out a beautiful and simple ring. "I knew you wouldn't want anything overly flashy. Something cute and simple." Matthew looked down at me as tears welled in my eyes. "Honey I-"

"Yes." I sniffled out and stared up at him.

"What?"

"I-I- Yes. Yes I'll marry you." I sobbed as his face lit up and he slipped the ring on the appropriate finger before leaning down and kissing me. I kissed back before hugging him tightly and laughing. Sometimes when I get overly happy, I cry and laugh at the same time, which produces for either awkward or memorable moments.

"How long was that in your pocket?"

"A few hours, but it was totally worth it."
