Cassian ran towards the cruiser at the sound of blaster fire. He had searched the surrounding area and decided that it'd be best to go back to scout the cruiser, least Jyn return. He had just bought a minuscule cyber crystal necklace, when he heard the blaster go off. He pushed through people as he neared the scene. He gasped, and took a step back when he saw it. Imperial Stormtroopers restraining, and hauling Jyn, and three of the men he had previously referred to as oblivious imperial fools, off to somewhere.

"And you rebel scum. You're another story." The trooper officer cuffed Jyn and shoved her, with force, to the ground. "You'll pay for what you did on Scarif."

Cassian nearly jumped out of the crowd to shoot that trooper up his scull, but he had to use his better judgement. He can't help Jyn escape if he's a captive too. Cassian trails the squadron, just far enough away to be out of sight, but not to far as to lose sight of Jyn. She didn't seem at all distressed or even irritated at the troopers surrounding her and the cuffs binding her hands. Not her first rodeo. Cassian thought with a smile. She would know just what to do when the time called for it.

Jyn, Blaze, Jensen and Rau shoved into an imperial transport, similar to the one they had just left, only larger. Jyn presumed that they were either heading to a starship, or a place of execution. She was a branded rebel, and the daughter of Galen Erso at that. She looked around her. These troopers were going to get a promotion because of her capture. Add in the three defectors and they'd all get a raise too.

"How could you." Blaze gaped. Walking out of the shuttles cockpit, was a beaming cadet. Sevens.

"A life debt." Rau uttered. "You dishonorable fool."

"I've done no dishonor." Sevens placed a hand to his chest. "I had to save myself. These defectors and rebel shot my fellow cadet. I did what any loyalist soldier would do."

Jensen sighed. "I'm never saving kids again."

"Don't say that." Jyn interjected. Thinking back to Saw Gerrera saving her life as a child, then the multiple times she saved children from death or the clutches of something worse.

"Shut up you blasted traitor." Sevens pulled out his blaster, and for a moment everyone but Jyn thought she was about to get shot. But Sevens merely struck her down with the hilt of the blaster. It hurt like a blaster shot. She thought as she brought herself to her feet, blood dripping down her face. She didn't look pretty.

Sevens looked displeased that Jyn got back up to sit. He cocked his arm back to go for another blow. Jensen stood in front of her. He said nothing, just stood in front of Jyn. A shield of sorts.

"I see how it is. A defector, traitor, and now rebel shield. Let's see how good of a shield you are." Sevens pulled the trigger. A single blaster shot rang through the ship.

Jyn gasped as Jensen fell to the floor. He fell to his knees then on his back. His fading face looking on hers. He told her a story with his eyes. One full of longing, hope, and finally, freedom. This was his first and last stand, and Jyn understood that he understood that. It's amazing what eyes can say when words can't mean a thing.

"Nothing like a ray shield. But good for one shot." Sevens smiled at his blaster.

Blaze and Rau just stared at him bewildered. They also looked around at the troopers who were turning a blind eye to this cadet's cold blooded murder.

"I brought them to you on the condition I could hurt that traitor." He gestured to Jensen. "And this rebel. You two, I leave to watch. Just look at what happens when you refuse to serve your empire. When you serve them unequivocally, the rewords and glory are endless."

"There's no honor in your glory." Rau spat. His face was red.

"Perhaps not. But there's fun in it." Sevens turned to Jyn and hit her again. Only this time harder.

Jyn fell to the ground, and landed besides her dead comrade, Jensen. His eyes still open, and looking to her. She might have marveled at his eyes once again if it wasn't for the pain. She couldn't get up this time. Why didn't he just kill her? she thought, than another voice in her head offered, you're to valuable to the empire alive to be killed.

Rau shot up from his seat, and was about to rush at Sevens when Jyn groaned a quick, "No." She wanted to say 'now's not the time', but was unable to conjure words. Rau sat back down, he glanced at Blaze who still seemed to be shocked at Jensen's death, or simply depressed.

Jyn could hardly breath she was in so much pain. But it was pain that would fade. She was too valuable to be permanently damaged. But it hurt nonetheless.

"Hey." A soft voice said comfortingly in her ear. It was spoken in an accent that could only belong to a one Cassian Andor. She tried not to smile for it would hurt too much. Her mind was playing tricks on her now, she thought.

"Hey." Cassian's voice said again.

Jyn managed to open her eyes, look down through the grates on the floor, and see, low and behold, Cassian's eyes shining through it. His face was so close that she could see that there were droplets of blood on it. Her blood. He must have been in the below cargo hold, the entire time. You couldn't have seen the man unless you were literally right up against the floor.

"Jyn, don't worry. I'm going to get us out of here. I've got a plan." He smiled, then returned to a place unseen by Jyn.

That Captain, always had a plan. Although Jyn knew her plan would've been the better one, she was more than happy to see him. She didn't realize how much she missed the comforting knowledge that he had her back.
