In the dark room where ALec sat, blindingly bright television monitors were stacked in front of him. He swiveled back and forth in his leather swivel-chair. He stroked his chin. His blonde hair fell in his eyes. He was immensely curious about the combination of Dani and Kay. They would disappear for days at a time, only to suddenly reappear. How were they doing it? Now, the alliance with Catherine? Hmmmm... Alec could clearly why Kay was doing it. Alec was a human teenager, too. Catherine was a guys one-night-stand dream.
His eyes focused on Dani. She seemed strong, harder to crack. He was frustrated with the fact that she would disappear, because he always wanted to watch her, never take his eyes off her. He wasn't sure why, but for some reason, he was inexplicably drawn to her image on the screen. Whenever Dani appeared, he wouldn't look at ny other monitors. He wished he could hear her voice, see if it sounded the same as it did onscreen.

Alec was slowly realizing something about himself..... never before in his life, had he wished for one person to succeed in the Death Games. But... now he did. And Dani was so nice... she might give it up for the last few alive to win. She was so kind.... she wouldn't let her friends die... ever. Alec felt a burning deep within his chest, as if he was being stabbed. This occured whenever he thought of her dying.
Part of him was glad he had entered her in this competition- he could see her every day- and otherwise he would have never seen her. This was him being selfish... and he had no problem with being self-serving.
The other part only yearned for her safety....... Dani.......
