Chapter Two || The Present

You wonder what Leo could've possibly gotten you this early in the month. You feel your phone vibrate in your hand and look at it.

Matt: I'm coming to Chb this week ;)

You frown at seeing his text. Matt is Alex's best friend, and always flirting with you, ignoring the fact you aren't interested in him. You see Leo glance at the screen, and quickly turn it off. You had never been quite so sure about Leo. He wasn't just a friend, but you didn't know if he was more than a friend either. Whatever this was, you wanted to get this clear in your mind. Leo got up and gestured for you to follow him. You get up and he takes your hand, leading you somewhere. 

(Leo's POV)

My heart is beating so loudly, I wonder if (Y/n) can hear it. I lead her back to Hephaestus cabin, hoping she would have a decent reaction to her present I got. I had gotten her a signed edition of (y/f/b), well, just because I knew what she liked. *sigh* OK, I want to impress her. I knew other guys liked her as well, and just wanted to be the one she wanted. Wow, I sound desperate! I enter the cabin with (Y/n) closely following behind me. "so? what is it?" she asks looking around the cabin. I smile to myself and grab the wrapped book from inside Buford, whom was standing next to the door at my orders. (Y/n) looked at it closely before opening it. She gasped and opened and saw a personalized message from (a/o/c)!

Dear (Y/n)

  I'm so glad you liked my book, and I think you're boyfriend is so sweet for doing this. I hope you have a very happy holiday and keep reading!

  (Y/n) looked shocked as she read it, then blushed. She looked up a me, blushing. "Why do they think you're my boyfriend?" I smile at her.

"probably just jumped to conclusions?" I say trying to act completely oblivious of the fact I told (a/o/c) to write that little that bit in about (Y/n) and I being a couple. I hope she kind of got the hint I liked her.

  (Y/n)'s POV 

I can't believe Leo would know I even liked books. Only Annabeth and Percy knew that kind of stuff. To be honest I really like Leo, but I don't know how to tell him. I'm not sure he would like me more than a friend. Even if he hypothetically liked me, he would probably only like me because of my brother, my powers, my family. Especially my family. My family... never mind. The important thing is that thing is that he gave me something that is quite special o me and I will never forget this gesture. My phone vibrates again. It's Percy.

Percy: Hey, Where r u?

I quickly text him back.

  (Y/n): I'm at cabin 9, dw I'm coming.

I look a Leo who is grinning from ear to ear. I smile back and quickly tell I have to meet up with Percy and with that I run off to cabin 3. When I reach the cabin, I see Percy standing in the door way, grinning like a madman. "why are you so happy?" I ask as I push past him. 

"Oh nothing," he was smirking now. 

"really?" I say as I raise my eyebrow.

"what have you go in your hand?"

"nothing." i say, blushing. It was his urn to question me.

"oh, really?" he says, still smirking. 

"yes, really." I throw my cushion at him, and he dodging effortlessly. Oh how that will forever annoy me.
