The phone call that changed my life

Interview

"Hurry up dad! Turn the tv on! I don't want to miss their interview" Victoria yelled jumping on the couch.

"There! It has already started, turn up the volume!" she screamed again.

I can't stay here, I can't handle this. I can't see him again, what are they going to ask him? His wedding date?! I can't...

"Marta you should stay. Maybe you'll have some answers" mom whispered in my ear. She was right, but what if he says something I don't want to hear? I promise that if that happens I'll leave...

I sat down on the couch beside mom and I heard this interview.

"Good evening, ladies, gentlemen and fans" the presenter said.

"So, we're all waiting to have explanations about the news that was announced a couple of hours ago. That's why the management organized this interview. I know that the fans have a lot of questions so we'll stop waiting. Let's welcome with a huge applause One Direction!" he added.

I saw them enter in a line, one behind the other. And then him, he's beautiful. I love him so much.

They shacked the hand of the presenter and they sat down on the couch. Zayn was sad, I could tell that by the look in his eyes.

"Mom, he's sad" I whispered in my mom's ear to make sure she was the only one to know what I was saying.

"How can you tell? I think he's great" she replied.

"I know his eyes. They don't have the same light they had before"

"So guys, how are you?" the presenter asked.

"Good" they said at the same time.

"Good! So let's start with the questions. Zayn, we know you came back three months ago from a vacation in Italy, is it right?"

"Yes it's correct"

"Where were you?"

"I was in Venice"

"Did you have fun?"

"A lot, it was the best vacation I've ever done"

"I'm glad you were happy. But listen, we know you went there because you were depressed. Am I wrong?"

"No it's right, I was depressed. I needed time to myself, I didn't want to see anyone. I just took a break after what I've announced"

"Why have you left the band?" He didn't answer.

"Oh my goodness" I whispered.

"What?" mom asked.

"He can't say the truth, oh my Gosh he's in trouble" I said and I covered my head in my hands.

"Ehm Zayn wasn't the same. He was always nervous, he had fights with everyone. We didn't put up with him anymore. It was the right decision" Liam replied. Oh thank you.

"Right, it's exactly what he said" Zayn added.

"I understand. So Zayn, how's going between you and Perrie?" the presenter asked.

No I can't hear this. I can't handle it...

"There's nothing to say. We're not dating anymore" Zayn said. WHATTTT???

"No?" the presenter asked.

"No, we broke up before I left the band. It was the right choice" he replied smiling.

"Did you love her?"

"Of course he did! They lived together for three years! What kind of question is this?!" Louis asked to the presenter. Fortunately he has his friends that are helping him.
