I'm on Christmas break, but don't get used to these regular updates! Once school starts back up I won't be able to do this much. Anyway, hope you guys enjoy!

"Do you miss staying at home with me and mom?" Jasper asks as he licks at his ice cream cone.

Jade shrugs her shoulders as she plays with the spoon in her sherbet. "Sometimes," she tells him, and she's not exactly lying to him. She does miss her brother (she misses torturing him and scaring him, but that's still missing him) and she sometimes, sorta kinda misses her mother too.

Sometimes being the key word.

"Dad leaves for a conference next week," Jasper tells her as he tongues down his ice cream. "You can come home while he's gone."

Jade smiles at her little brother before shaking her head. "No, that's okay. But maybe we can hang out again next week and you don't have to skip your history test."

After leaving Hollywood Arts she spent the majority of her time just driving around (she was starting not to mind driving during the day), Jade decided to pick up her little brother, considering she hasn't seen him in almost a month. She texted him letting him know, but only when the little boy had gotten in the car did he let her know that he was in a middle of history test.

Jasper chuckles as he shrugs one shoulder. "I'm no good at history."

"Neither am I but you don't see me skipping tests," Jade shoots back.

Jasper raises an eyebrow. "You're skipping school right now though."

Jade narrows her eyes before she turns her attention back to her ice cream. "Shut up and eat your ice cream."

Jasper does do that for a moment before he asks her, "So, why are you skipping school?"

"Does there have to be a reason?" Jade asks as she lifts her spoonful of sherbet to her mouth.

"Yup," Jasper says, popping the 'p', "I mean, you're weird and you love your school. So if you're skipping, there's a reason."

Jade seriously hates that her little brother is such a smart ass. She pushes her sherbet away and let's her hands fall to her stomach. "It doesn't concern you alright? It's, you know, stuff."

"Like Vega stuff?" Jasper asks.

Jade has to snort. She's complained about Vega so much that her brother thinks that her bad mood should have something to do with the half Latina.

"Nope, for once this drama is Vega free," Jade says, placing the spoon into her mouth.

Jasper hums for a moment before he guesses, "Beck?"

Like she said before, Jade seriously hates the fact that her brother is a smart ass.

"You know, if you were as worried about history as you are in my personal life, maybe you wouldn't be so eager to skip your test," Jade mumbles.

"Your personal life is more interesting," Jasper responds with a shrug.

Jade scoffs. "Hardly."

"How's the baby?"

The question shocks her, and she doesn't really know why. Jade clears her throat and looks down to where her hands have apparently been caressing her belly ever so softly.

"The baby is good. Really good."

"Man, your hair is gonna fall out if you keep worrying like that," André tells Beck as they walk into their last class for the day.
