Sunday 2.25 P.M.
'I'm going into town! I'll see you tonight!', I scream as I walk out the front door.
I walk to the nearest busstation and take a bus to the city. When I arrive I head straight to the mall. All my favorite stores are there. The arts & crafts store, a camera store, a jewelry store, a makeup store,... I walk around, looking at the windows when suddenly I see a store that I've never noticed before. There's a huge sticker on the window that says:'OPENING TODAY!'
I get curious and walk inside. I get overwhelmed by cats, dogs, birds, turtles, hamsters, bunnies and many more cute animals. I look around a bit when suddenly a big cage catches my eye. Inside is a beautiful ara, a parrot. I walk up to the cage and fall in love with the majestic looking animal. It's completely red with blue and yellow on his wings. I stare at it and don't notice the girl standing behind me, talking to me.
'Can I help you?', the girl asks friendly.
I turn around and look straight into some beautiful, big blue eyes. The girl smiles at me and asks:' You like this ara?'
I nod without knowing what she just said. I watch the light reflect on her blonde braid, that's hanging over her right shoulder. Her lips have a cute nude lipstick on them and her lashes look very long and thick. I stare at her.
'Are you okay?', she smiles.
I wake up from my dream and realize my mouth is open. I close it and start to turn red.
'Yep, all good', I reply as I walk away.
I exit the store and walk into a coffee bar. I order a frappuccino with strawberries and cream. My favorite. I sit down at a table and think about what just happened. I've never seen a girl that beautiful before.
All day long, I can't think about anything else than her. Her smile, her hair, her eyes... I feel crazy. When I get home, I eat my dinner, make my backpack again and head towards my favorite spot: the bridge. I climb over the railing and sit down on the metal bar again. I look at the sunset for a bit and then take out my sketchbook. I've been here every evening for the last week, so it's filled with drawings of sunsets. This time I don't draw a sunset. I don't draw the way the light reflects on the water or the way some smoke comes out of the chimneys. This time I draw a face. The face of the girl from the pet store. I draw her big blue eyes, her blonde braid and her gorgeous smile. I feel weird, in my stomach... I feel... different. I like it. I've never felt like this before. What is this? Is this... Could it be? No, of course not. I like guys, like Michael or maybe Mason. All though...
