" Well Mrs.Douglas but I'm afraid that our hour is up. I'll see you next week and hopefully Mr.Doulgas will join us."
" Thank you Mrs.Mavericks. You are a life saver. See you next week."
Mrs.Douglas hugged me and walked out of my door. I sat back down behind my desk and exhaled a breath that I didn't know I was holding in. Mrs.Douglas was my last client for the day and it was only one in the afternoon. I wasn't usually finished until four so I decided to surprise my husband.
I made it to his building in less than an hour and brought some lunch for him, I knew he would be hungry around this time. I walked into the building and went up to his office floor. All of his employees greeted me with smiles and waves. I greeted them back and went to his door. Before I could open it, his personal assistant, Kylie, walked out. She looked surprised for before a smile formed on her lips.
" Hey there. What are you doing here today? I thought you didn't work until four?" She asked me. Kylie has been Sebastian's PA for six years now. Her and I became bestfriends and we were really close. I hugged her and gave her a bag of food that I brought her, also.
" My last client was at one so I thought it would be nice to surprise him. How is he today?"
She huffed. " He's been better since last week. This deal should be finished, hopefully, tomorrow. I'm sure you'll pick up his mood. I wish I could chat longer but I have to get a load of papers done. Thanks for the food, hun." She kissed my cheek and went to her desk.
I opened the door to my husband's office and seen him sitting behind his desk with his hands in his head. This deal that he was doing with his rival's company was surely taking a toll on him. He's been working on papers and propostitions for the last month and his mood hasn't been the greatest. It's hard being the owner and CEO of high paying and demanding companies.
" Hey, babe." He looked up at me with a shocked expression before he smiled and waved me to come over. I put the food on his desk and sat on his lap.
" Hello my beautiful wife. What brings you here, today?" He asked before he planted a kiss on my lips. I hugged his neck and noticed a small red speck on the collar of his shirt. I tried rubbing it off but it smeared into a faded pink color. Weird.
" My last client was at one so I thought that I would surprise you with lunch. What is this spot on your collar? It's red." I rubbed it some more until he pulled my hand away.
" Mom came by earlier. She must have gotten lipstick on me. You had the Douglas' today?" He asked me as he took out the food and began eating it. I stole a fry and ate it.
" Only Mrs.Douglas. Her husband had a meeting with another firm that he couldn't cancel. How's Mom doing? I haven't seen her in a while." He fed me a pickle from his burger and then kissed me again.
" She's good. She wanted me to ask you if you want to meet up with her for lunch this saturday. She says that she's feeling neglected from her daughter-in-law." I laughed and got up from his lap.
" I'll call her as soon as I get home. I'm watching Regina today and the group is coming by so I have to get going." He put his arm around my waist and hugged me.
" Do you have to go so soon? You just got here. Why can't Reggie get Gina today?" I rubbed his hair and shook my head. He was such a big baby.
" He won't be in town until next week. He's putting some final touches on a building that he's been working on up north." He released me and stood up. His arms made their way around my waist again as he kissed me.
