Chapter 6: Lu Lu

Naomi came face to face with the guy she could not bear to hate, "Lu Lu?" Lucas eyes grew wide. She could not believe it. It's as though LIFE hated her and is slowly putting her back into the past which she wants to escape and forget. First was Adrian, and now Lucas. And from Lucas's wide eyes, it was evident that he did not recognise Naomi. After all, she did change. She cut bangs, started wearing glasses instead of contacts and grew her hair. She used to hate Long hair as it was hard to maintain.

However, Lucas was just like before. He still never bothered to comb his hair, forever wearing a singlet and a sweater and that same converse. Naomi still remembered he never changed because Val always like the same old natural look. Nothing that is done in a particular way. Then a thought struck her, if Adrian is back and so is Lucas, does it mean Val is too? No, that cannot happen. She has escaped them for so Long, they can't just come in and ruin what is left of her happiness too. More people means more gossiper and more likely for her secrets to come out.

Soon enough, the shocked expression became a snarl. "What a coincidence my BITCH of a Sister." Speaking of coincidence, the bell rang. She  never felt so happy for the idiom "saved by the bell" Naomi quickly stood up and went for the door. But she was blocked by Adrian. Oh gawd. Adrian raised his eyebrows at Naomi's panicked state. Naomi pushed him aside and ran. It seems like she has been running away from life a lot, and unknowingly, she is drifting apart from JINX. She ran to her dorm. In there was darkness but outside was hell.

Adrian quickly informed Jamilah. At the same time, Lucas greeted him. "Wassup bro, how ya doing?" Adrian ignored his questions and asked one if his Own, "hey, you know what happened to M- Naomi?" Lucas's expression changed to an unpleasant one. "We shouldn't care, she's a bitch." Adrian got pissed off, "what the fuck is wrong with you? It's Mi! Your gawd damn 'sister'." Lucas's face dropped, "I called her a bitch." Adrian's arms flailed in the air, irritated the whole cycle repeated itself again. He noticed, Naomi is slowly breaking. She was drifting away, shutting people out.

"Not again! How many times have she ran away? Too many to count. Why did you call her a bitch? And everybody here loves Naomi, you prob offended some of them."

"You know more than anybody else why I called her a bitch."

"I don't, enlighten me."

"You told us what she did, the Rumours proved it and even Val said it herself."

"Urgh doesn't matter! Let me try to get her out of her room. Wait, it doesn't even matter, she aced her studies she don't even need to attend class. Should I leave her alone or be there? I don't know anymore. Thanks Lucas, I was hoping that I can change her back to Mi and not Naomi or nomi or omi."

Sarcasm was at the tip of his tongue. Lucas was confused and followed Adrian as he headed to Naomi's room. Adrian knocked at her door, yet the door is still closed. Is she not in? Soon enough, Jamilah, Iris and Xerena arrived. Adrian explained the situation to them as Jamilah's eyes turned into slits, Iris glared at him and Xerena could not even bear to look at him in The Eye.

Lucas got a little uncomfortable and shifted in his spot. Iris took out Naomi's dorm room key and opened the door. "Leave." The voice was deep and serious. Adrian and Lucas felt as though it was a threat, if they don't do as they say, something would happen to them. "N, it's just us. Calm down." They stealthily walked in and Naomi opened a small crack, small for the guys but large enough for the girls. And it was left with Adrian and Lucas.

Adrian plopped onto the sofa, so did Lucas. Silence stretched between and the hushed voices of the girls could be heard.They hated the silence. They used to be best friends, just like...Val and Mi. In all honesty, Adrian was getting worried. The same thing is happening again and again. Like on repeat and yet she says she doesn't want history to repeat itself but it seems like thats what life is doing to her. He should never have come to England.

All of a sudden, the hushed voices has turned into shouts of fury and muffles cries. then there was silence. Except for the sound of their breathing. Adrian got up and said, 'Im done" before an attempt to break in. Lucas grabbed a hold of him. Adrian looked back. Lucas, with his sincere eyes connected with Adrian's, "why are we like this, I thought we were best buds." Adrian got out of Lucas's hold, "why are you treating Naomi like this, I thought you guys were 'siblings'. If you haven't realised already, Naomi needs help and even I can see that. But knowing, she refuse any, prob because what went down with you. I don't know but she helped me get a girl, and I wish I could repay her."

Lucas stared at him. He doesn't know. Adrian forgot what he did, why it happened. Adrian had no care anymore as he barged in as the door open for him to nearly hit a wall if he didn't stop himself on time. On the bed was poker cards and Naomi looked as if nothing is wrong. Miraculously, there was no trace of her crying but he knows she did. Iris raised an eyebrow and asked, "we wanted to ask you if you wanted to play cards with us, I doubt you have any lessons today."

Adrian was quick to agree while Lucas was hesitant. Then Serena butt in, "its not a choice, get in!" Adrian never knew it was in her to have such a bold voice. During the whole game session, Adrian felt as though they were being analysed or processed in their head ways to hurt him and Lucas. Occasionally Lucas and Adrian caught JINX glaring at them but they were quick in covering it up. Adrian also noticed Naomi has become 'Omi' again. The "cheerful" girl who is friendly to all even to someone who called her a bitch. But with her aura, he sensed it, Mi was still there but who they saw was merely Omi.

MUST READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So hey guys, I thot abt it, since it is a little weird for everything to be focusing on Naomi and was completely clueless abt how others feel, I thot why not make some chapters in other people's perspective. This chapter is based on Adrian's perspective.

Prob in time to come, I would include like after every 5 chapter, I include someone else's perspective. So why not start it with Adrian. You never know who is next. Sadly, it meant that the chapter would be shorter as I cannot go into much detail if not the whole mystery thing would be gone. So sorry but I enjoyed writing in Adrian's perspective as how I analysed Adrian's character to be, in the story, I portrayed him as someone who has matured a lot thus the much concern. You will soon see the difference between him and Lucas. Also, Val will be constantly mentioned but she won't appear anytime soon.

However, I will not put Naomi's perspective of this chapter. As in my head, they will be openly discussing about the "past" and that would spoil the whole mystery...bleh. You will find out hopefully soon if I'm not busy...oops. Im also sorry for the long authors note.
