While Adrian was in the bathroom, Naomi slowly opened the card. Curiosity getting the best of her.

"Your hair as dark as night
hazel grey eyes shine bright
Each time I see you smile
My heart runs another mile
A prodigy you are
Just like a star
No one else can compare
There is no such thing as a spare
What you do to me
Is just driving me crazy
But it doesn't matter
Because with you it's always better
You may be weird, sarcastic and all
But unknowingly I always fall
You're smart, artistic and athletic too
I don't know what to do with you
Strong emotionally and physically
But weak mentally
I promise I'll be there for you
If your can be there for me too
Though your violence states otherwise
But my love for you are always on a rise
I don't even mind your hits
As Long as you be my IT"

It was written in white pen, in the most sophisticated calligraphy. The words stuck, who could this for? Adrian walked out of the bathroom and saw the card, eyes widening, he did not want Naomi to know who it was for, he let a random name slip out, "Valerie"

Naomi was a little ecstatic. Val used to her Best Friend, back in high school, but something happened and they lost contact. Val used to have the biggest crush on Adrian and always fangirling when he is not around. She have no idea how can someone pretend like normal friends with such a huge crush. Naomi reread the poem, in awe that Adrian could be so sweet. Then her smile turned into a smirk, "can I send it to val, it's not like you have feelings anymore." Though they are not in touch, it's a risk worth taking, if it means she could talk to her again.

Adrian gulped before nodding, it's better than her knowing who it was for. Naomi squealed before grabbing her phone. All the numbers still in there, as though there was hope that they still are friends. Naomi sent a message and almost instantly, her phone vibrated.

**message**
Naomi: hey Val, Long time no talk, but you should have confessed when I told you to, Adrian used to have feelings for you.

Val: who is this?

Naomi: Naomi

Val: oh, why are you telling me this? I did confess, you encouraged me to, I trusted you, and I hurt myself

Naomi: what do you mean, I am telling you because I wanted to prove to you that if you have courage anything is possible.

Val: no, you are wrong, Adrian never had feelings for me, he have feelings for you.

Naomi: bullshit, he doesn't. He hates me, trust me.

Val: why do you bother, it's not like we are friends anymore. People change, and my life was finally turning better. We may used to be best friends but that's in the past. I'm sorry, but the bond is no longer there.

**end**

The words stabbed her in the heart. She expected this, she knows their opinions of her when she left. But they're wrong, they have mistaken her. She made the wrong choice, she thought they would still see her the same if she stood for herself. She let the card drop out of her hand, then dashed out of the room. Adrian tried to shout for her to come back but Naomi was in a whirl of blur. She just ran and ran until she was in the safety of her room. With that, she collapsed behind the door.

Then the waterworks started. A lone tear slid down her face, followed by another and another until it was like an endless stream. Behind the door, Adrian was knocking on the door, pleading her to open up. He was worried and Naomi made sure her cries were muffled. Adrian knocked on Carol's door and asked for help. Carol immediately grabbed Naomi's room key and tried opening up the door. Naomi had put all her weight on the door to prevent them from opening up and Naomi may be a petite girl, but she is strong. When she heard they have stoped, she chained the door and retreat to her bedroom.
