It stopped, on the page of a photo, not just any photo but her high school class photo. Before Darren could look at it, she snatched the book and hugged it to her chest. Tears were threatening to flow out. Calm down, Naomi, don't forget who you are now. "Op woman, strong horh," Darren commented but Naomi gave no response. She stuffed the book in her bag and muttered, "I have somewhere else to be..." She took her bag and left. She briskly made her way to the dorm room and plop her bag on the floor. She took out the book and went on bed.

She hugged it towards her tight, inside that book was all her precious memories, memorable events, fun time, sad moments, deep thoughts and inspiration. If someone were to get hold on this book, Naomi is doomed for life. Why can't guys just respects girl's privacy, why are they so interested to keep finding out things she would rather keep in the dark, without anyone knowing. Yet again, Naomi subconsciously made her way to the past.

"What's that?" Adrian asked.

"Nothing," Naomi quickly answered.

Adrian tried to snatch Naomi's book but each time Naomi got it back before he could read. Then she would put her head on the table and used her hands to cover these all handwriting of hers.

"Just show me!!!!" Adrian was desperate to know at this point in time.

"No!"

"Adromi!!!" A voice called out, Naomi whipped her head and smack Adrian with her hair in the process. She quickly closed the book and locked it before Adrian could get it.

"Why don't you let me see?!"

"Cause it's a secret, dumb ass"

"What's in there?"

"Something you would never understand and would mock me about it..."

Someone knocked on the door and Naomi reluctantly got out of bed and opened it. She saw Adrian and let him in, no harm done anyways. She opened the door wider and she sat on her bed. "You are here for?" Naomi asked, tired from the whole day. Adrian sat criss-crossed from Naomi. "that book..." his eyes snapped to the book Naomi was still holding. He recognised it and Naomi knew he did. She brought it closer to her, keeping it out of Adrian's arm length. "What about the book? Did you only come here to ask me this if so...leave!"

"No I came her to clarify some things. Why do you hate "Mi", your old nickname so much? Why do I feel like i'm so distant from you? Why do you not want to meet me, true we constantly said we hate each other in the past but I thought it was for fun."

"You want some answers, figure it out yourself though I can give you simple answers that does not help...one, I hate "Mi" because my high school friends call me that and never in my life do i ever want to be reminded of that point in life; two, you don't feel distant, you are distant, many things have changed and what changed the most is y point of view on life, its stupid really, how I thought everybody would be different and history would not repeat itself but guess what, it did and I am not letting it happen a third time; three, I don't want to meet you because you are a pain in the ass and personally, I hate everybody, i hate my life, everything since I was born until I was admitted into this university. I felt joy, until you decide to transfer and ruin my life."

Adrian opened his mouth but no sound came out as he closed it again. He was speechless, what happened to Naomi in high school, is what she wants to keep a secret. Naomi's hazel eyes stared into Adrian's daring him voice out more but instead he only got off the bed and out of the dorm room, leaving Naomi with her thought. Tears pricked Naomi's eyes as she collapsed backwards onto her pillow and cried herself to sleep.
