Dallon had stayed in bed the next two days after the incident. He just felt so constantly cold and out of it. Around the end of the second day, Breezy came over to help look after him, bringing Sara with her.

"Dally, you're burning up!" Breezy frowned, disapprovingly as she held the back of her hand against Dallon's forehead. "How long were you under that cold water?"

"I blacked out, Breeze, I don't know." Dallon responded dully as Sara walked over with a spare blanket. "I'm sorry you have to deal with my sickness." He apologized.

"Don't worry about it." Breezy smiled, taking the blankets from Sara and making a kissy face at her. She giggled as she turned back to Dallon. "We've been sticking together a lot more because Sara watches the news too much."

"There's been so many murders over the past few weeks..." Sara defended, hugging her chest.

"Stop with that babe," Breezy soothed the other girl, reaching out to take her hand. "You're paranoid."

"I'm scared." Sara spoke softly, scooting closer to Breezy.

"More than the one with the note?" Dallon asked.

Sara nodded. "That was the first one. They still won't release what the note says."

"Dally, stop encouraging her!" Breezy exclaimed, earning a soft smack on the back of the head from Sara. She gave Sara a small pout before turning to the extra blanket she had brought for Dallon. "There isn't a clear pattern-" She started as she began to unravel the blanket, but Sara cut her off.

"Which means that really no one is safe!"

"I'm sure you guys will be fine." Dallon tried to reassure, but Sara looked skeptical. He wanted to say something else, but his phone began to ring loudly. Breezy grabbed the phone from Dallon's bedside table and passed it to him.

Dallon answered it, bringing it up to his ear to be greeted by a suave voice. "Dallon, Did you pick up? That means I have service, finally!"

"Hello, Brendon." Dallon smiled. He shifted slightly in bed to look away from Sara and Breezy. Breezy was already mocking with kissy faces while Sara shook her head at her girlfriend. "How are you?"

"I'm fine." Brendon sighed, "There was just no reception where my parents live. The only reason I have it now is because I'm on my way home."

"Only two days?" Dallon asked with the furrow of his eyebrows, "That was a short trip."

"I only needed to inquire on a small detail, Dallon." Brendon chuckled, "We discussed it a week or so ago, don't you remember?"

"A week or so..." Dallon wracked his brain for the conversation with Brendon. He only came up with blank spaces.

"Oh!" Brendon suddenly exclaimed, "How stupid of me, I discussed that with a friend of mine, I apologize."
