Chapter 5: Stupid Cupids
Tianna's POV
After Emily got home on Wednesday night she chewed me out for a good five minutes about leaving her alone with Trevor.... But I read people, and I could see in her eyes that she was secretly thankful. Thursday evening was pretty low-key. Finna and Kyla had come back on Thursday evening after Finna's work. They saw no point in coming back just so Finna had to go to work again a few hours later so Emily and I had just spent the time after school watching How I Met Your Mother.
Friday was finally upon our weary freaking souls, the last day of school before the weekend, and Finna's last day of work. My alarm had gone off probably about five minutes ago, but my bed was so....comfy and warm. School sucks. I rolled over and looked at the phone on my bedside table.
"ARE YOU JOKING?", I screamed as I saw the clock said 7:45 A.M. Kyla, Emily and I have to leave the house in fifteen minutes to catch our bus! I heard laughing come from the kitchen, and the whirring of the blender as Kyla made us smoothies. I rushed my butt to the shower and yelled for Kyla.
"I already set your clothes on the counter in the sink", Kyla called to me.
"Thanks, California. You're my favourite!", I yelled. I heard Finna and Emily's cries of protest, followed by Kyla mocking them that she was the best. Of course shortly after she apologized. Too nice, that girl. I quickly stepped out of the shower after shampooing my hair. I tried to untangle the vicious knots from my blonde curls, to no avail. "Screw it", I said, and decided to just part my hair without brushing it. I grabbed the clothes Kyla had picked out for me and slipped them on. My leather jacket, a pair of jeans, a floral shirt, and of course my white converse.
"All good?", Kyla asked as I exited the bathroom. I nodded in response. "I made you a smoothie", she smiled and handed me a travel mug. "Let's go".
"Kyla", I said seriously. "Will you marry me?". Kyla laughed.
"Oh, sure", she rolled her eyes and handed me my school bag.
"Morning", Emily smiled as she came towards us with her art bag in tow.
"Morning", I smiled back. "Bye, Finna. I LOOOOVEEE YOU".
"Mmmph", I heard Finna reply from the kitchen. Kyla opened the door and left the apartment with Emily and I following close behind. When we came out of the building the air was especially chilly, and I regretted not putting a hat on over my wet hair. We walked to our bus stop in a comfortable silence as we all admired the view of the ocean from the sidewalk.
"Hey. guys", I said as we waited at the bus sign. "Maybe your soul mates will be on the bus again today".
"It's pretty early in the morning to be asking for a whooping", Emily raised an eyebrow at me.
"Well, I don't know about me having a soul mate on this bus, but Emily might", Kyla smirked mischeviously.
"I really regret telling you about Trevor and I hanging out after Tianna ditched me", Emily groaned. "All three of you have been bugging me nonstop".
"We know you love him", I said mocking something Finna had said earlier. Emily just glared as the bus approached. Sure enough, as we boarded the bus we saw Trevor and Will. They spotted us and waved.
"Let's go sit by them", I urged my friends.
"Can we not", Emily said, trying to prove she wasn't in love with Trevor. I ignored her and walked over to where they stood, clutching the hand rail of the bus. Emily and Kyla followed me slowly.
