This chapter is relatively long to make up for the fact that I'm a dishonorable human being who hasn't written in like, seven hundred years.
So, Sorry.
Chapter 11: Uteruses over Duderuses
Emily's POV
I sat by the curb tapping my toe impatiently at the edge of the pavement. I had just finished both of my morning classes at school, and was waiting for Trevor to come by and pick me up. I had nearly given up all hope of getting back to the apartment when Trevor pulled his battered car up to the curb
"Never thought I'd be happy to see this heap", I grinned as he opened his door and walked towards me
"Sorry, love", He grinned back and offered a hand to help me off the sidewalk
"No problem", I shrugged and pulled my sketcbook to my side, squealing on the inside at his calling me "love". "How was your morning at school?"
"It was alright. Boring as usual, then again when I'm looking forward to seeing you everything seems sort of boring". Trevor opened my door and I hopped in. When Trevor came round to his side of the car and got in I gave him a look "What?", He asked
"Smooth-talking today?", I asked with a cheeky smirk.
"Hey, it's all truth", he held up his hands in surrender. "Want to go get something to eat before I drop you off?"
"Thank goodness, I'm starving! Where do you want to go?", I asked
"I heard of a little shop that's hiring and I thought I'd try and apply for a job, if the food's any good of course", He responded
"And you've chosen me to accompany you on this trial run, possibly feeding me vile food?"
"Or really good food", he objected.
"Alright, I'm game", I smiled.
"Have you heard about Will and Kyla?", Trevr asked me "Never mind, you're girls, of course Kyla's told you about Will". I laughed and nodded my head.
"Have you heard about Finna?", I asked. Trevor gave me a questioning look. "She's moving back in"
"Things didn't work out with the Irish guy?".
"On the contrary", I shook my head. "He and her are going to try the long distance thing".
"Good luck", Trevor grumbled slightly.
"What do you mean?", I looked at Trevor's thoughtful face.
"Long distance never works".
"Never say never", I said back, slightly annoyed.
"Don't get cross, I'm just stating the truth", Trevor replied, just as irritated.
"Everyone is different, you can't put every relationship into one pile and say the same thing doesn't work", I argued.
"Every guy may be different but every girl is the same", his grip on the steering wheel tightened, "All girls pretend to be someone they're not , and then when you try and get closer to them they show you who they really are."
"Oh, really? And who do they end up being?".
"Normally fake, self-concerned materialistic people who only wanted to be in a relationship to say that they're in a relationship. But you know what? You don't find any of that stuff out until you ask if she'll do a long distance relationship and then Bethany tells you that you're too clingy and not that important to her! ", Trevor finished his rant with a large huff.
