Chapter 8: Omelette Farts
Tianna's POV
"Wait? So, she's... gone?", Trevor asked as he and Will stood on the bus with us. We hadn't heard from Finna all weekend until Sunday night. She had called to apologize for overreacting and being a drama queen by blaming us. She told us that she still wanted to break free from her comfort zone, but that she wanted us to all remain just as close.
"Well don't make it sound like she's dead, but yeah", Kyla nodded. "At first it felt really wierd, but after she called and sort of exlpained it when she was more level-headed it made a bit more sense", Kyla shrugged. "Its not like any of us expect to live together forever".
"You guys are really easy going", Will said as he gently raised an eyebrow. We all smirked in response.
"Doesn't mean we ain't pissed she took it out on us, and hurt that she's gone", Emily spoke our thoughts out loud. "But when you have this many years of friendship you tend to sort of move on and learn to forgive each others outbursts".
"I'm glad I'm not a girl", Will voiced, and Kyla laughed, thinking he was making a joke.
"Wow, guys, way to make me feel like a loser", Kyla's cheeks flushed red as she grinned sheepishly.
"Kyla, you find everything funny. We support your laughter, but we will not join", Emily smiled and I nodded in agreement. Kyla could do nothing but open her mouth in protest before Emily's bus stop appeared and she hopped off the transit with a wave to us all. We all waved back as the bus pulled away from the art school.
"So, Kyla", Will began suddenly, "wanna go on a date?". Kyla and I both turned to Will with an incredulous look.
"Mind his bluntness", Trevor rolled his eyes and waved his ahnd towards Will. "I don't think he ever figured out how to be subtle".
"Apparently not", I grinned, happy that a relationship was slowly beginning.
"Shh, don't ruin the moment", Will smacked Trevor upside his curly head. "So", Will raised an eyebrow, "What you think, love? Will you accompany me on a date".
"Oh, look", Kyla stated loudly. "We're at school. I better get going". Faster than I could begin to move, Kyla had bolted off of the bus.
"Well that's probably not a good sign", Trevor stated with a confused glance towards Kyla's figure briskly walking away. "I think you're too british for her", Trevor joked.
"Shut up", Will snapped at Trevor, not appreciating his attempt to be light hearted.
"Alright, Snapperfish", Trevor pulled his hands back in a retreating motion.
"Really?", I asked him, "Snapperfish? You should get a whole lot more creative".
"Sorry, Tianna", I guess I'm just not surrouded by clever people so I don't use clever insults".
"That was the lamest comeback I have ever heard", I rolled my eyes.
"Your mom is the lamest comeback I have ever heard", Trevor replied back.
"HEY!", Will yelled. "This is not important. Someone please explain to me what just happened! Why did she just run off like someone stabbed her cat with a stick?", Will rubbed the short stubble of black hair on top of his head in confusion.
"Honestly?", I tensed my shoulders, "I have no idea. I''l talk to her later, but for now we better get to classes. I'll text you later or something, Will", I waved and headed in the same direction Kyla had scurried off in earlier. Will half-heartedly waved and Trevor gave me a playful death glare. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Trevor say someething to Will and get smacked upside the head for the second time today.
