Chapter 1
*FLASHBACK*
"Riley your home!" my Mom yells running up to me and pulling me into a big hug. "Don't run off like that ever again" she begged almost bursting into pure tears.
I pull away from the hug and look at her. "May I have some lollies please Mommy?" I said looking hopeful. She looks at me in awe and smiles.
"Only a few darling" she said smiling and giving me a kiss on the forehead.
I run into the kitchen and grab the lolly jar from the top of the fridge trying not to fall off the chair I was currently standing on. I grab a handful of Peanut M&M''s and Coca Cola bottles- my favorites.
"Honey, the new neighbors have just moved in next door. You should go introduce yourself to them later, make them feel welcome" Mom called as I walk out of the kitchen.
"I think they're names are Ella and Josh and they have a daughter named Scarlet who's one year younger than you" my Mom chirped joyfully.
"Okay Mommy" I smiled cheerfully that I have a new friend to play with.
I walk out into the backyard still holding my lollies that I had already half eaten.
I walk over to the side fence where the new neighbors would be moving into, and heard people talking.
"Scarlet honey, could you please go get the lamp out of the car for me?" a lady sounding around the age of 20 asked.
I move an outside chair close to the fence and pull myself up onto it. I carefully look over the fence and see a young man and woman talking and pointing to the house.
I turn my head towards their car and almost fall backwards. The most beautiful girl I have ever seen in my life was standing at the boot of the car in little denim overalls with a flower on the strap.
She's picking up a big purple lamp that looks quite heavy, and I'm pretty certain she is going to drop it any minute.
I quickly jump off the chair and run towards my house.
"Riley! Where are you going now?" Mom yelled.
"To see the neighbors" I puffed as my heart races more than ever.
"Oh okay, have fun, and be careful" Mom smiled kissing me on the forehead. I practically sprint out the door and up to the gate when I hear Mom calling my name again.
I run back inside and she hands me a box of chocolates and a white rose. "Give the chocolates to the parents, and the rose is for the young one" my Mom said smiling.
I turn around and run back outside. I open the gate and run about 5 yards down the pathway until I see the girl. God she's gorgeous!
I walk up to the car and place the chocolates and the rose in the boot.
I turn around to see her and she is so beautiful. I don't think I have ever laid my eyes on a girl that could look so cute. Her curly long light brown hair falls over her face making her eyes stand out extremely. And her rosy bright red cheeks shine perfectly in the sun next to her innocent pasty white skin.
"Here let me help you" I said taking the lamp off her softly. She looked at me in complete shock and opened her mouth to speak.
"My... my Mommy and Daddy tolded me not to speaked to strangers" she stuttered quietly.
"I came to helped you take the lamp" I replied.
"Oh. Come this way" she gestured towards the front door.
