???'s POV

Dear Lillie,

Merry Christmas, I know you won't read this on Christmas Day as that is when I am writing... Merry Christmas to you wherever in Kanto you happen to be, I still remember you. I hope you still remember me... Nebby is doing well, I'm sure you are glad about that; I made sure it didn't get itself into trouble, You'll be glad about that too, I'm sure of it. Hau and I didn't get to tell you something when you left, we both loved you like family... Not that we didn't show you that...

Anyways, we hope you had a great Christmas in Kanto and we hope that Lusamine is doing well.

From your friends,

Ezra and Hau

"N-no! Ezra! That's not good enough! We haven't seen her in a year! How about... e-er... Love from your... um... COUSINS!" Hau prodded at the second to last line of the letter. I shook my head and rolled my eyes as I 'corrected' my writing, "Y'know if you want to talk to her so desperately you could just call her from the pokemon center, I asked nurse joy and she said that she had her number. Just try to keep the desperation on the low, Yea," I looked up at Hau who simply raised an eyebrow at me.

"I would've thought you out of most people would know why you write a letter to the girls rather than just put a number into a phone. It's more romantic, Yea. Show's you care enough to put effort into keeping in contact," I chuckled as he finished speaking. I slid the letter into an envelope and wrote 'Lillie' on the front of it. Hau snatched the pen from me and drew a heart beside it, he paused before then drawing a picture of Nebby beside it.

I heard the door creak open as my mom stuck her head in, " Oh hello Hau! I wasn't expecting you to be here today!" Hau waved at my mom before flopping onto my bed, "Anyways, Ezra, I saw these kids around your age in the pokemon center. I'd never seen these kids so I asked them what they were doing here on Mele-mele island and they said that they had come from Kalos and had no where to stay, so I said they could stay with you. Come down and meet them, Hau can come too!"  New kids, eh? Well it is christmas I suppose I have enough room in here for some new guys, girls wouldn't be great. They'd remind Hau of Lillie, he'd embarrass himself...

Layla's POV

My new brother, or rather 'old' brother, had left us claiming it was 'too dangerous' for him to stay. We had been trying to get a few beds in the pokemon center but there was apparantly no vacancies, how many other people were lost on Mele-mele island? The nice woman who allowed us to stay in her son's room entered the main room of the house with a warm smile spread across her tan face, "Ezra will be down in just a second. I'll cook you up some Malasadas and get you all some Roserade tea, just take a seat everyone!" The thought of food and drink made us all smile. We sat around a large dining table and set down our bags, "May we let our pokemon out?" Ash enquired. The lady nodded as she put the kettle on, we all threw out our pokeballs and the calm dining room became filled with lively pokemon; Jace's Arcanine and Ninetales chased each other around the living room whilst my Umbreon and Hypno attacked eachother agressively, "Whoa! There's so many mouths to feed! Ezra honey get the rainbow pokebeans out of the pantry, would you?" I looked towards a door as a rather good looking boy walked into the room, his presence silenced all of the chaos. All of our pokemon suddenly stopped and stared at this boy, "What are they doing?" Ash whispered to me. The boy furrowed his eyebrows and looked me straight in the eyes, I stood up and as I walked towards the boy the pokemon scurried to the outskirts of the room. As I reached arm distance of the boy we continued to stare each other in the eyes, suddenly I felt as if the eyes of the world were watching me... Waiting... Waiting for my... Approval? He was confused too, he felt exactly the same as I did, I could read it...
