Liam's POV

2008

I remember being absolutely ecstatic after getting through the auditions. On top of that, I had made a new friend. When we first came to London, we had hung out a few times, and we were all around good friends. We were always together during soundcheck, and we sat together. She was a very charming girl, yet she was so shy. I wanted her to break out of her shell, I honestly did. I wonder how, though?

With a small sigh, I make my way out of my room and to the hallway, being greeted once or twice by my fellow contestants. I greet them back with a small nod, not really wanting to engage in a conversation with them, as I wanted to find Jade.

I finally make my way to her room, knocking on the door gently before allowing myself to go inside. I find her seated on the bed, staring out of the window.

"Jade, it's me," I say softly, not wanting to startle her.

She turns to me, a small smile curved upon her lips as she motions for me to come inside. "Liam, sit next to me," she says, patting the spot on the bed next to her.

I close the door and make my way to her, sitting beside her. "What are you looking at, love?" I ask her, looking out of the window like she was doing just moments ago. The sight is quite beautiful, considering that the sun was just about to set.

"I'm just looking at everything, Liam," she whispers, looking at the sky and the buildings in awe. "Everything here's so different from South Shields. Here, it's much more... Extravagant. Much more beautiful..."

I chuckle softly and slowly wrap my arms around her from behind. "It's because it's London, Jade. Everything has to be bigger, and better."

Her lips curve down into a small frown. "Liam, what if I'm not big enough for London? What if I can't do this?" she says, her voice barely audible. "What if they send me home? Liam, I'm going to be so crushed. I won't be able to take it." She turns her head to face me for a moment, but then turns her head back to look at the sky, which was getting darker by the second.

I bring my hand up to run my fingers through her soft curly hair, untangling some of them from each other. "Listen to me, Jade. You are good enough. You are amazing. You are perfect." I say, meaning every single word.

She turns to me, a small smile on her lips as she nods. "And you're perfect too," she replies, giggling softly.

With a thoughtful nod, I lean in and press my lips gently against hers. I couldn't keep my eyes off of her lips, the way they enveloped the words she spoke, wrapped up in her accent. They felt like heaven, too. Soft, yet full. Everything I've ever imagined. And surprisingly, she doesn't pull back.

2013

A loud buzzing sound fills my ears, jolting me awake. I groan lowly reaching over for my phone and swiping my finger across the screen. After doing so, however, I noticed that I had a text message from Zayn.

'Z: hey, mate. Pez and the girls are in town and I wondered if you wanted come over? Niall's comin, too. :D'

With a small chuckle, I quickly type out a reply to my fellow bandmate.

'L: Sure, man. Is eleven alright?'

After pressing send, I get out of bed and decide to brush my teeth, getting ready for the day ahead. With my toothbrush in hand, I look at Zayn's reply.

'Z: Alright, see you then :D'

I chuckle, shaking my head. Zayn was like a lovesick puppy when it came to Perrie, and he wanted to make sure that she and the girls had a great time.

I check the time, which read 9:30. I must've been really tired last night. I remember having a dream, but it was a bit unclear. I felt as if it had happened in the past, but I couldn't quite point a finger at it. I walk downstairs, being greeted by Loki, my dog. I then proceed to make myself some breakfast, which was Weetabix with some milk. Today started off boring, but I hoped it wouldn't stay like that for long.

I think I was right.
