Jade's POV

"Jade, tell me what the hell is going on." Perrie says, absolutely fuming.

"Yes, Perrie." I mumble, unable to find my own voice.

"Yes for what? Are you finally going to tell me everything? You haven't even answered my damn question!"

At her words, I start to get upset. I quickly stand up, throwing my arms up in surrender. "Yes, dammit! Yes, Perrie. Yes, Liam is Jayla's father! Yes, I was- I still am in love with him." I yell at my best friend, not being able to hold back any longer. I pause for a couple moments, my anger building up before continuing. "Yes, I know I've lied to you and the girls, but it was all for my daughter's good! Yes, he has absolutely no idea that he has a daughter. He's probably even forgotten that we had something..." I say, starting to feel weak.

A couple tears roll down my cheeks, but I pay no mind to them. I didn't care if the same person I had talked about just moments earlier heard my outburst. I had held these secrets in for so long, and I needed to tell someone. And it just so happened that Perrie wanted to know. This would be a hard thing to explain to the rest of the girls.

I finally look straight at Perrie, who was currently avoiding my gaze. "I-I'm so sorry, Jade.. I didn't mean to- you didn't have to. I'm so so sorry," she whispers, a tear rolling down her cheek.

I sigh softly, nodding as I keep my gaze focused on her. "It's alright. I needed someone, but I couldn't speak up... Until you came." I pull the blonde into my arms, squeezing her sides gently.

"I'm so sorry, Jadey. I love you." Perrie mumbles into my ear, her tears staining my shirt.

"It's alright, Pezza. I love you too."

In the middle of our embrace, I hear the door click open. I look up, seeing a worried Zayn, with Leigh-Anne and Jesy right behind him, both with shocked looks on their faces.

Well, this didn't need much of an explanation.

Jesy's POV

Zayn had gone to check on Perrie, and we didn't pay any mind. He was so protective over her, and she was the same. They were inseparable.

We went on, with Niall telling jokes, with Jayla sitting on my lap, and with Harvey running around the living room with Hatchi, who was asleep earlier.

Something wasn't right, though. Zayn wasn't back yet. And neither was Perrie. It seemed typical for them to take long, but it was different this time.

Jade was with them.

Now, I'm not one to think too much over one simple thing, but there was something about what Jade had said earlier that gave me an unsettling feeling in my stomach. Jade? In love with Liam? It seemed likely. They were both friends before the girls and I even met. I didn't have a good feeling about it, though.

"I'm gonna go check on the girls and Zayn," I mumble to Leigh-Anne, handing over the little girl, who was laughing at one of Niall's stories.

My bandmate shoots me a worried glance as I give her a nod, getting up from the couch. Maybe she was feeling something, too. Was it a type of sister instinct?

As I am about to head out of the living room, however, I hear yelling coming from upstairs. What the fuck was going on?

I turn to Leigh-Anne, motioning for her to follow along. She nods quickly, having heard the noise and hands Jayla to Liam, who gladly accepts her into his arms.

"What's happening?" I ask Leigh quietly as we sprint up the stairs.

"I wouldn't know. I heard the yelling, it sounded like Jade." she replies, and I sigh. Jade never yelled. She never got mad, so whatever caused this must have struck a nerve.

Once we reach the top of the stairs and dash to the end of the hall, we see Zayn with his ear pressed against the door.

"Zayn!" I call to him, my voice shushed.

He flinches at the sound of his name, backing away from the door and looking at us with wide eyes, as if he was a primary schoolkid getting caught for stealing chalk.

"What are you doing here?" he whisper-yells, nervously licking his lips.

"We came here to check on you and the girls, what's happening? And why are you eavesdropping on their conversation?" Leigh angrily mumbles over the yelling, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Shh, just listen." Zayn replies, motioning for us to come closer to the door.

Without even pressing my ear to the door, I could tell who was talking.

"...Yes, I know I've lied to you and the girls, but it was all for my daughter's good! Yes, he has absolutely no idea that he has a daughter. He's probably even forgotten that we had something..." I hear Jade yell at Perrie, causing me to flinch.

Jade lied to us? About Jayla? We all knew that she was a young mother, she had told us that ever since. She never told us about the father of her child, though.

I glance at Leigh-Anne, who has a frown on her lips. She shakes her head with a sigh, and I look at Zayn.

"Who's he?" I ask him, wanting to know who Jayla's dad was. I wanted to know that ever since I had met the little girl.

"Liam."

At his words, I turn to Leigh, whose eyes were as wide as mine.

Jade and Liam.

Liam and Jade.

Holy fucking shit.

Without any warning, Zayn opens the door, revealing the two girls, their arms entangled into an embrace.

This needed a lot of explaining.
