Chapter 3

A/N: Hey guys it's Bay and I just wanted to let you guys know that nothing much really happens in this chapter so it might be kind of short and I just want to apologize for that in advance. Anyways, I kind of want to save all of the drama for the next chapter so I might update again today, so that'll be a triple update if I do because this is my second time updating this book today. Sorry for this long author's note, now let's get into this chapter!

Bay's POV

"Are you ready for this test?" I asked Ryland as we walked into the school together, and then I noticed that Rocky wasn't here yet. That's odd, he's usually here around this time.

"Yeah, are you ready?" He asked back.

"Yeah, we'll be fine, we always get A's" I replied. "Do you have any idea where your brother is?" I asked.

"Which one" he said in response making me laugh.

"Rocky of course" I told him.

"Right, well I'm afraid not, sorry" he said.

"It's fine, I'm sure that he'll be here soon" I said hopefully.

"Yeah maybe, but I seriously doubt it. To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't show up at all" Ryland tells me.

"Ryland.. seriously what happened?" I ask him really concerned as I looked into his eyes.

"Nothing Bay.." he started to say but I cut him off.

"Don't just say 'nothing' that's a lie Ryland and you and I both know that. Obviously something's wrong and it's obviously the reason that you're acting like you hate Rocky" I told him.

"I don't hate Rocky and nothing's wrong... I have to go" he says which confuses me because we have the same classes.

"What do you mean 'you have to go' we have the same classes, where could you possibly have to go?" I asked him.

"Places" he said as he started walking away but I grabbed his arm.

"Ryland, did I do something wrong? Are you mad at me? It just seems like you're not acting like yourself and I'm sorry if it's because you're mad at me.

And I know that I said I would stop ditching you to hang out with Rocky but that's exactly what I did yesterday.

I just want you to know that I'm here for a you and I love you, I'm really sorry.." I started to say but he cut me off and pulled me into a warm and comforting hug which made me smile.

"You didn't do anything wrong and I could never be mad at you" he said pulling away from the hug so be could look into my eyes. "If anything I should be apologizing to you, for acting distant towards you, you didn't deserve that. I just need to clear my head, family issues" he told me. He then continued to walk away.

Ryland's POV

I feel so bad about constantly lying to Bay but I can't exactly tell her that her boyfriend cheated her because I know it would break her heart. Besides, she wouldn't believe me anyways. Also if I tell her that Rocky cheated then he might tell her that I'm in love with her and that would ruin everything. I just really need to get over her and that's kind of hard to do when I'm always around her and she's always being so sweet, so perfect... Stop thinking about her! My conscious screamed at me.

"Hi! You're Ryland right" a female voice said snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Uh yeah I am, sorry I was just thinking about something" I told her.

"Well I'm Abagail, it's really nice to meet you... You're probably wondering why I'm here. I heard that you're in student council, so you're in charge of planning the Music Fest, right?" She asked me.

"Yeah I am, did you want to volunteer to help?" I asked her.

"Yeah actually, I did" she said.

"Okay great, we could use all the help we can get, thank you! We have a meeting this Saturday at 7 A.M. so hopefully you'll be there" I tell her with a smile.

"I definitely will" she said smiling back at me as the bell rang.

"Well I should probably get to homeroom, but I'll see you around I guess" I told her.

"Yeah see you around" she said as we went our separate ways. The day flew by pretty quickly as usual and Bay and I are currently in our last class of the day... Math.

"This test is half of your grade for this quarter, so I hope you all studied hard for this test, good luck" our teacher Ms. Rodriguez said in an evil voice.

Bay's POV

The next day of school was tiring and I caught myself almost falling asleep multiple times.

"Bay.. it's time for lunch" Ryland told me as he started packing up his stuff.

"Oh right, thanks" I said.

"Are you okay, you seem pretty out of it today" he told me.

"I'm fine, I'm just a little tired.." I said and he gave me a look. "Okay a lot tired, I stayed up really late last night arguing with................

Hey guys it's Bay and sorry that this chapter is so short I tried to make it as long as possible but I didn't really know what to write because something big is gonna happen in the next chapter that I might possibly write today.
