Chapter 13: Falling, Drowning and Talking

Alex’s P.O.V.

I screamed again for the millionth time. Niall and Zayn were just telling everyone to keep calm, but how can we? WE'RE ABOUT TO DIE! The pod is literally hanging by a few wires.. I just wish I'd done so many other things before I died, like, i don't know. I just wish I got the chance to clear things up between me, Niall and Dan, skydive, hold a snake, have childeren, get a good job, start a family, eat out an entire nandos.. I don't know.. I felt the pod jerk down again which snapped me out of my daydream..

"NOOOOoooOO, i can't take this anymore!" Mia screamed dropping to the ground looking up. Everyone threw concern to Mia who was taking deep breaths. "What's happening?" i asked, it seemed like she was having a panic attack. "It's okay, it's her fear with heights, and I can help her because I’ve been through the same once." Zayn said rubbing her back. Aw, Dr Malik to the rescue.

Suddenly, there was a hella loud noise.. kinda like.. A HELICOPTER!! "Please remain calm, we're going to get you out. However we can only take out 5 at a time. Now the first five, can you please go up the ladder, and we will take you down." Yelled a weird guy with a megaphone. Well, I know I'm not going to make it I might as well let others live, so while they were all yelling and arguing I stood up on the table. "OK, everyone shut up, Van, Liam, Zayn, Mia and Phil all go first. No arguing, get your asses up that ladder so we can be rescued quicker. GO GO GO!!!" I yelled the last part, luckily they all listened to me which made it a lot easier. First Zayn got on because he can't swim.. ha ha looser. Then Mia, Phil, Liam and finally Van. "I hope you'll be ok" she said just as she stepped onto the ladder. "Don't worry about me, at least you'll be safe" I said. 

I took a deep breath and turned around to face Dan and Niall "Ok guys, we need to sort this out, you can't constantly keep on arguing and stuff, we're about to die so ya know, no worries!!!" i said with sarcasm. Can you tell i speak the language of sarcasm. I love it right? "Arguing?" Dan said letting out a sigh. *sigh* "Yes arguing, your beckering might as well be the new WWE?!" Lol, WWE, no actually, nothing can replace WWE. "It was-"

But...dun dun dun...before Niall can finish his sentence...

The megaphone shouted "WE HAVE SAFELY LANDED THE 5 PATIENTS, NOW THE REMAINING 3 PLEASE CLIMB ONTO THE LADDER ASAP." Well then, that was fast. I looked down (big mistake) and saw the group on ground with paramedics checking them up. I also noticed Harry and Louis were getting down but were talking to a tall, bold man in a black suit. He had a load of guards and when he turned around, i saw a pissed off face from the dude...modest dude...

"Alex?!? Quickly get onto the ladder." Niall said. Didn't need to repeat that again. I grabbed hold of the ladder and Dan and Niall were behind. Oh, such mission much ladder. But before i could grab hold of the lifesaver, i felt gravity fall. My senses were lost as i saw the ladder above get smaller and smaller away from me. 

"Alex!" Dan shouted. Yes, that's my name. Dan held my hand but wait...Niall was holding his leg. And Niall was also holding that last piece of object of the pod. "WHAT THE FUDGE?!" I screamed. We were literally dangling of the broken pod which will fall any moment. "Don't look down!" Niall shouted. Great advice Nialler. 

I looked down and saw the calm, blue river and the bridge where the group was. There were loads of paparazzi and everyone was calling for help. Before i could say my last words, the rush of wind overcame me. My sight was a blur and the shock of cold liquid splashed on my skin. 

I was trying to gasp for air but ending up swallowing in water. I saw loads of bubbles from Niall whos shoe was stuck between the metal of the pod. I quickly swam up to the surface and breathed in a load of air. "Alex!" i heard people scream. I went back into the water more capable of what to do and swam to where the pod was slowly sinking to the bed of the river. 

Looking at Dan and Niall's movements, i can tell they couldn't swim. One second later and one will drown to death. Omfg. Who the heck do i save first? Urgh. I swam down fast and held onto Dan. I saw the relief on his face but kissed him on the cheek swimming towards Niall. He looked unconscious and i took off the stuck shoe. I dragged him towards the surface and let the ambulance take over.

"Al, don't go in there! They have swimmers here!" Vanessa said. "No, they're going to take time, and Dan is drowning! i screamed. Before i let her talk i swam down to where Dan was. But the fear over took me as i saw the pod nowhere in sight. I swam down and down till it was darker and darker but i couldn't see any object in sight.

I felt someone grab my leg pulling me onto surface. It was a diver. "What are you doing? DAN IS THERE! HIS DYING!" i shouted grasping in air. "Alex, it's too dangerous for you. Let the team take care of it, i'm sure they'll find him." an inspector said. I just looked at the cold deep blue sea. It was my fault. I should have saved him first since it would be quick and easy. But then Niall would be in danger. Urgh ALEX!

My feet was onto ground and Vanessa hugged me tight. I hugged her back, sharing the wet water that was dripping on me. "You scared me Al." she said. "Don't do that again." I just looked up to the Eye and saw the height from which i fell. I then felt a strong shadow over me...

A bright light was my first sight. I regained my senses and got up slowly. "Vanessa?" i said in confusion. Where the hell am i? "Alex. You’re in the hospital, you just fainted, we're all okay, Niall sprained his ankle but Dan is undergoing surgery since he has a lot of water in him." she babbled quickly. "But we're stuck in here a few hours because paparazzi is outside questioning loads of stuff." great. wow. just great.

I walked over to the waiting room where i found the guys looking depressed. "You're okay!" Niall said hugging me tight. I saw the bandage on his ankle and a new shoe from which he lost under sea. "So it's just Dan to worry?" i asked. "No, we need more answers from a 'couple'" Liam said.  We all turned our eyes towards Harry and Louis.

"We knew you guys were a thing! Argh, i'm so happy for you guys!" Zayn cheered. "Ssh" Louis said. Harry hugged him by the waist. Aaw, larry feels can they just get married and get kids? "We're going to come out to the media even though management strongly disagree's..." "But we'll be there to support you two!" Mia said with confident. We all gave smiles and was interrupted by a doctor.

"Sorry to disturb, but Dan is perfectly fine, you can just sign the discharging sign and leave perfectly fine. We have also arranged security from the back of the building where you can leave without a hassle." Dr...Johnson said. We all sighed in relief and were delighted to see Dan alright. 

"DAN!" i said! I was about to throw in a hug but he stopped me, looking at the ground. "Phil, can we go home?" he said. Phil nodded his head signing a paper and they left without contact. "Well then..." Liam said. "Guess all we have to worry about is leaving this building." I said with laughter. Ha. ha. ha...

I'm going to need more laughter for tomorrow. And i'm not saying this in sarcasm.

Hey noreos, a massive, massive apology to you guys for not updating since January 7th and today is like 13th April. We have been extremely busy the past months with personal lives and school lives but i think you lot will expect an update everytime we have a school break etc. It's the easter holidays so i hope you guys have a happy easter!!! (=^_^=) Also, i'm aware ~LarryLover~ was supposed to update this chapter but she's a lazy ass so NUTELLA NINJACORN TO DA RESCUE! See you noreos in a while? Like, Vote, Fan etc. Loads of love xxx
