Chapter 2 | Monsters?!

  "Ugh... where am I?" Ayano asked herself, finally coming to. She looked around, then remembering what had happened. She had just fallen down a deep hole. How is she still alive? An even bigger question. How is she even unhurt?
Ayano touched the "floor" that she was sitting on. Flowers? The golden flowers underneath must've broken her fall.
"Well. Now that I've woken up, there's nothing else I could do except go forward," Ayano thought to herself. Her eyes now adjusted to the darkness. She saw a hallway with a grey floor. She then touched the sides of what seemingly looked like oblivion. The 'cliff' that looked like she would fall if she stepped onto it, was actually solid and cold. Was it the effects of magic? She brushed off the fact. There is no such thing as Magic. Stop being so damn stupid. She thought.
No longer weirding out, Ayano thought she should get out. But the hole was so deep, probably more that 25 meters deep, no kidding here, how could she get out? Suddenly, Ayano saw a door. It was just two pillars with an arc on top; like a medieval one. When she stepped through, she saw the weirdest thing in her life.
"Howdy! I'm Flowey! Flowey the Flower!" said a little golden flower.
"...a flower can talk? Strange." Ayano attempted to step on the weird talking flower called Flowey. Flowey then phased through the floor, then re-appeared in a different place.
"Hey! Don't you DARE try to hurt me!" yelled Flowey.
"I just thought you'd be fun to step on." claimed Ayano.
"Anyway!" Flowey changed the subject.
"You're new to the UNDERGROUND, aren'tcha? Golly, you must be so confused. Someone ought to teach you how things work around here! Guess little old me will have to do. Ready? Here we go!"
A purple colored heart came out of Ayano's chest.
"See that heart? That is your SOUL, the very culmination of your being! Your SOUL starts off weak, but can grow strong if you gain a lot of LV."
Ayano just sat there, listening to the friendly flower's lecture.
"What's LV stand for? Why, LOVE of course! You want some LOVE, don't you?" Ayano nodded. "Don't worry, I'll share some with you!"
"Down here, LOVE is shared through... little white, 'friendliness pellets'." Suddenly, white particles appeared behind Flowey. "Are you ready? Move around! Get as many as you can!" Ayano stared at the 'friendliness pellets', trying to at least touch them.
"Ow!" Ayano caught one, and the feeling was horrible. It felt like fire, being stabbed by a hundred knives, her purple colored heart starting to crack in front of her, but it didn't shatter. Flowey's friendly expression disappeared, being replaced by a threatening, scary expression.
"You idiot." said the flower. "In this world, it's kill or BE killed. Why would ANYONE pass up an opportunity like this?" More bullets circled around Ayano's SOUL. "DIE." Flowey laughed maniacally. Ayano realized the pain of being the victim. She closed her eyes waiting for her death.
Suddenly, she felt better. All better. Ayano was really confused. So was the flower. A fireball appeared out of nowhere, hitting Flowey, sending him flying into oblivion. A goat monster walked into the room.
"What a terrible creature, torturing such a poor, innocent youth..." Ayano wanted to tell the female goat that she was neither innocent nor a youth, but hey, why bother? "Ah, do not be afraid, my child. I am TORIEL, caretaker of the RUINS. I passed through this place every day to see if anyone has fallen down. You are the first human to come here in a long time. Come! I will guide you through the catacombs." Ayano's purple heart floated back into her chest, and she could move in a bigger area. Just now, she could only walk a few feet until kinda touching an invisible wall.
"This way." informed Toriel. Ayano hesitated a little. Should she trust Toriel after all Flowey's done to her? Well, Toriel DID heal her after that stupid yellow petaled weed almost killed her... then seemingly followed.
