It's that time of the year again in the city of Magnolia. The tempature drops as the cities and houses are decroated with shimmering lights and fake snow. Trees are being dragged into houses to have a special makeover. Bakeries stock up in cute new cookies and bread designs with an arouma that fills the city. Nothing new about the festive, wintery mood.
I sighed, dropping little marshmallows into my mug of hot chocolate as I watch Natsu and Lucy argue over the given split chores needed to be done. The two got into a rock-paper-scissor, smashing their fists to the flat surface of their palms before tossing out their item.
"Yes!! I win!!" Lucy exclaimed, holding up her rock-fist as Natsu sulked in defeat with his scissors-v sign.
I giggled at their childness as the victor was celebrating.
"Okay, so Natsu will be getting us a little pine tree," Lucy started off as I finished my drink, "I will get us ornaments and lights to decorate the tree, and Juvia will get supplies for baking cookies and macarons. Everybody clear?"
Natsu and I exchanged glances as we nodded. "Good. Now, let's began Operation: Christmas-Themed Household. GOGOGO!!"
"Really?" Natsu objected. "What kind of name is 'Operation: Christmas-Themed Household'? Couldn't you think of a better name?"
Within a blur, he had earned a slap across the face. "Damn, chill. Okay, leggo~"
I glanced at the thermometer, looking at the tempature before grabbing a padded jacket to cover myself in. Although I am wearing a sweater, it's pretty cold out there.
The three of us headed towards the direction of the nearest supermarket that has everything (basically a Wal-Mart LOL). We split off to find our respective materials and ingredients.
I'm reaching for this one icing that I need to complete my side of the operation. I have everything that I need but.. this one thing that... I. Can't. Reach. Short people problems, y'know? Tall people wouldn't understand lol.
"There you are, Juvia." My ears perked to the familiarity of the voice. I whipped around and saw a familar blonde, young master. He gave me a grin as he approached me.
"Let me get that for you." Sting placed his items to the side of my cart as he reached up and took three packs of icing off the shelf for me.
"Th-Thanks.." I smile softly at him as he picked up his items.
"No problem. I'll see you around." He waved and I bowed slightly as he continued to pass my aisle.
I place the icing packets in my cart as I went up to the counter to pay for eveverything I wanted to buy. I pulled out my phone and played some games as I waited for the two jokers to finish their shopping.
"Damn it." I muttered as I lost again. The person beside me chuckled as I glared. Woah. Since when did héat down here as well?
"Sorry, I couldn't let s girl sit alone by herself." He smiled sheepishly. "Who knows what would happen to you?"
"Thank you." I nodded, turning off .y phone and placing it back in my pocket.
"Are you waiting for someone?" Sting asked as I nodded once again.
"A blonde joker and a pink joker." I said with a sigh as he gave me an okay. "What's taking them so long?"
"Who knows?" And with that, the conversation just died.
