The sun rose. Kimmi got out of bed. She looked down to were the twins slept. They were gone. She ran down the hall into the living room. There on the floor with Crystal sat Hazel and Scarlett.
Crystal: Are you ok? You look like you just saw a ghost.
Kimmi frowned. Crystal looked at the twins.
Crystal: I'm sorry they looked dirty so I gave them a bath. It's just I missed out on these moments with Jacob so now that they are around I want to treat them like my own.
Kimmi picked up the twins and went back into her room. Caleb was awake.
Kimmi: Morning. We need to get to Lake City.
