Alexander's P.O.V

"Alex get up!"

I groaned and rolled over, pulling a large pillow over my head to shield myself from the annoyance that was Tessa. I was in no mood to humour her today, I wanted to stay in bed and never leave and that's exactly what I planned on doing.

Or so I thought.

Without so much as a slight warning I was lifted from my bed; still naked, and tossed over someone's shoulder. "You asshole, put me down!" I demanded, narrowly missing my head from being hit by the door frame. "Shut up and get in the shower, you smell worse than Aunt Petunia on a sweaty summers day after she's just picked up dog shit."

Upon hearing his voice, I fell limp. Of course it had to be Leo, the last person I wanted to be dealing with, that is carrying my naked self to the bathroom. "For the record Leo you smell like shit also." I lied. Before he could reply I swiftly kneed him in the stomach which sent my body tumbling to the cold hard ground (T Swizzle).

"I did not notice you were naked... I hope the pups didn't see your nasty bits." Leo grumbled rubbing at his stomach. "I bet you enjoyed every second of it." I replied back, grabbing hold of a nearby towel to cover myself with. "Enough chit chat. Get in. Get Clean. Dress nice. I'm taking you out, do not argue with me." Leo commanded using his Alpha authority and walked out of the bathroom closing the door behind him. Frustrated I ripped off the towel and threw it in his general direction before jumping into a scalding hot shower.

After pulling on a grey fitted t-shirt, I shrugged on a black blazer going for the casual yet formal look, as I had no idea what the occasion was. Looking into the mirror, I didn't bother to tame my brown curls instead choosing to run my fingers through it a few times to add to the "fresh out of bed" look.

Hurry up Alex we need to leave! Leo all but yelled through the mind link, giving me a slight headache. Without replying I sprayed a little cologne before taking the stairs two at a time until I reached the bottom... Only to see that nearly the entire pack was downstairs waiting for my arrival. "What's going on?" I asked, frozen on the third last step, hesitant to go any further. The pack was hardly ever in the same room unless for dinner or meetings.

"Don't worry about it Kiddo! Let's go!" Tessa yelled from near the back where I could see her head slightly poking up, obviously on her tippy toes because she was so short. Making my way towards her, the entire pack split apart creating a crevice for me to walk through. Feeling uncomfortable, I basically run to the back door were Tessa and Leo were waiting for me, each dressed in similar attire to myself.

Without a look in my direction, Leo took off out the back door, expecting me to follow after him. I began to feel more on edge when I realised we were walking through the forest and not headed in the direction of the cars, lord knows how lazy Tessa is, if she was willing to go for a walk through the thick bushes it must be something serious. Speaking of Tessa, she had a bounce to her step and a grin bigger than the cat from Alice in Wonderland.

It wasn't for another 10 minutes that I picked up a delicious scent. I wanted to chase after it, I wanted to to consume me. Only then did realisation hit. It was my mate. The mate that ran off and left me. The one person who was meant to love me forever, that rejected me as soon as he saw who I was. Tears started to well in my eyes as I recalled that painful day. Lost in my own head I didn't realise we had broken out of the trees into a small clearing where the smell was overpowering.

Then I saw him.

Davin's P.O.V

His eyes met with mine as he entered the clearing. It was like I could only see him and nothing else. My heart was racing erratically in my chest. I leapt down from the rock I was seated on besides Ari and stood stock still, refusing to take my eyes off of him. His scent was driving me crazy, drawing me towards him. A strange impulse had driven into me. I wanted his touch, I craved it. I was as confused as ever. My attraction to him was evident, I knew I couldn't deny it. It was strong, raw and true.

I felt a familiar hand on my shoulder and reluctantly broke eye contact with him. I craned my neck to see Ari, smiling warmly at me. I couldn't return that smile. I felt like a cornered animal. So many emotions were running through me at the same time I didn't know how to react; shame for running away the first time I'd seen him, anger towards Ari for not telling me about her plan before we got here, worry about how he'll react, and the list just continues.

"Come on big guy." I didn't know how to respond. Was this some sort of setup? Why didn't she tell me about this before we got here? I looked into Ari's eyes searching for any sort of confirmation, but she simply walked past me, making her way towards him... Or rather, towards them. There were two other people with him. A man and a woman. I tried to follow after her, but my feet refused to move. Panic began to take hold of me. What if he no longer wanted anything to do with me? Ari had already greeted them, but I couldn't hear anything they were saying through the pounding of my own heart. They were all speaking animatedly with each other as if they'd known each other for years. My vision was starting to blur. I closed my eyes trying to control my breathing. I was losing control of the bear within me. It felt threatened, backed into a corner. I staggered backwards and fell to my knees. I heard shouts all around me, saying something I couldn't make out. I felt confined, unable to breathe. I dug my hands into the earth beneath me, trying to grasp for something solid and stable. A calm voice broke through the pounding of my own heart. "Breathe, Davin. Just breathe." My head was pulled to rest upon something solid, someone's chest. Arms were enveloped around me; they were unfamiliar but welcome. Warmth was spreading throughout my body calming the beast within. I welcomed this feeling of safety and embraced it. My arms clung to this person as if my life depended on it. My vision was beginning to clear, and my eyes made contact with a pair of dark blue eyes. Eyes so dark it was like staring into the deepest depths of the ocean. My breath caught in my throat, they were dazzling. He rested is forehead against mine, clinging to me as if I'd disappear. "You're alright, you're okay." He sounded as if he was trying to reassure himself more than me. "I'm sorry..." I whispered out in a croaked voice. His arms tightened around me, pulling me closer to him. I had no idea how long we sat against the earth embraced in each other's arms, but I hoped it would last forever.
