"You just couldn't keep away could you?"

Grinning, I sped up my pace and broke through the thick bushes to find my Ariella sitting on the highest rock, closest to the lake. Her light hair reflecting the moon, creating a halo like effect, with the stars in the background made for a picture perfect moment.

"I could say the same thing to you."

"Indeed you could."

Chuckling I started to climb up the rocks to share the one my mate was sitting on. "I do hope it was me you were hoping was going to show up, and that you don't have a long list of men cast under your spell." I jokingly said while nudging her shoulder. "Don't worry Nardo, it's only you." She giggled lightly to herself as she smirked up at me. Staring into her bright blue eyes I felt even more drawn to her than before, she was perfect, and she was my mate to spend the rest of my life with.

"So," I said clearing my throat and breaking our gaze before I did something stupid. "Tomorrow's the big day, setting up a pair of mates that have been sulking in their rooms thinking they both got rejected. Any ideas on how we are going to accomplish... what did you call it? OGDAT?"

"It's OGDAAT actually." Ella replied with a laugh. "You know, Operation, Get Davin and Alexander Together." She grinned proudly sitting up straighter. "Oh right, how could I ever forget such a cleverly thought out name?" I replied mockingly. "Hey! Don't you dare tease it, you couldn't come up with anything better!" She yelled knocking into my shoulder, which should have hurt but all I felt were the sparks that flowed through our bodies.

And from her shocked expression, I knew she felt it too, as she ever so carefully rested her shoulder against mine, allowing the feeling of sparks to flow through each other's bodies in a welcoming and warming manner.

I couldn't tell how long we sat like that for, atop of the rock overlooking the small lake with our shoulders touching as we listened to the crickets in the bushes and the slight shift of leaves blowing in the wind, but it was possibly one of the best moments in my entire lifetime. I had never felt so content, and for once allowed my entire body to relax, all tension leaving me as I focused on the warm feeling of her skin brushing against mine.

"This is nice." Ella whispered as to not break the silence in the air. "Sometimes it all gets too much... And you forget what it's like to relax." She added after a beat, mimicking the quiet tone she used before. "I can't remember a time I felt so at ease with everything." I added looking down at her slightly to see that she had a content smile on her lips with her eyes closed breathing in the crisp night air.

Suddenly her eyes snapped open and made contact with my own. "And how easy a moment can be ruined... Somethings going on at home I need to go." She smiled sadly, but made no attempt to move. "Is it important?" I asked hesitantly, not wanting her to leave at all. With a deep sigh Ella rested her head on my shoulder. "Yeah." she whispered out after a moment.

"I don't want to leave." She groaned, rubbing her head against my shoulder. Laughing I moved my hand up to brush her silky hair out of her face. "I don't want you to leave either, but your family is more important than me, I understand."

My breath caught in my throat when she titled her head to look up at me with her big wide eyes and a cheeky smile, her head still rested upon my shoulder. "One day you'll be my family you know." She winked and in a graceful movement leapt off the rock we were seated upon and firmly landing on the ground without a noise.

"Well Wolf Boy, I'll see you here tomorrow 8pm sharp. Please make sure you bring Alexander and I will make sure Davin is here too. I'm thinking we be mean and ambush them with each other." She laughed and without a reply from me, shifted into her beautiful jaguar and took off in the opposite direction of my pack house.

Shaking my head to myself, I made my way off of the rock and made my way back to the pack house quietly, savouring the smell of her upon my skin and the crisp night air knowing that my relaxed state was not going to last much longer, already feeling my shoulders tense the closer I got to the pack house.
