That night I didn't get much sleep, even though I figured out the message, I still couldn't figure out what the Eye of Xhòn was. I woke up from my short slumber to the smell of eggs burning. I instantly shot up from my makeshift bed on the floor and ran to the kitchen. Shawn was staring at the pan on the stove in both fear and awe, the burnt eggs had started a grease fire and Kat was sitting on the floor laughing her butt off.

"what did we say about cooking Shawn?"

"To not to unless one of you are here. But you were both sleeping and I was hungry."

"Cereal Shawn, eat cereal. Or wake one of us up.

"But they only have healthy cereal and I tried to wake you up but you hit me."

"Oh well help me put out this fire."

He nodded and went to the sink to get a bowl of water. I stared at him for a moment before he started walking to the stove with it.

"No you idiot! Don't put water on it! Go get me a damp towel or some baking soda."

Kat was still rolling on the floor in amusement, I stared at her and snapped getting her attention.

"Can you help him? He isn't good at this."

I looked around the kitchen and started assessing the damage. It wasn't too bad, the owners of the cottage probably won't notice. Shawn and Kat found the baking soda and put out the fire, then I made us breakfast. We sat around the table, I told them what I figured out and they agreed with what I had.

"What about the Eye of Xhòn thing?"

"Well she said may the Eye of Xhòn watch over you so I'm betting it is a person or something like that." Shawn concluded.

"Well you are right in a way Shawn. The Eye of Xhòn is just a legend though." Kat said.

"Could you tell it to us Kat?"

"Sure. So a long time ago when the country had just started there was a battle throughout the land to see who would be the ruler. Everyone was fighting men women even children, except one person, Xhòn. She thought though the country needed a leader it would be best if they waited and took a vote. She didn't want there to be one person in power but instead a democracy. When the country took the vote they all voted for her. Instead of the democracy she wanted, she was proclaimed the ruler and was still fair about everything she did. When she got married her husband became the ruler and held all the power. This led to the dark days. She did everything in her power to stop him from becoming the power crazed man he was, but to no avail. Later on that year she gave birth to twins, both boys. She kept them away fr their father's corrupted ways and taught them all that was good so when their father died they could rule with peace and kindness instead of an iron fist. When her husband found out about her hiding his own flesh and blood from him, he considered it an act of treason. He called everyone in the country to the castle, beat Xhòn, then slowly killed her for everyone to see. Her dying words were, 'if treason is to do what is right, and corruption is to stay in this kingdom, then I no longer want to walk this bloodstained soil any longer. Though let me assure you I shall be watching you, feeling your pain, anger, and sadness, and giving you hope from the world above with the angels at my side. And my sons try to stay loyal to what is right instead of your devil of a father's ways.' then she died on the steps of the castle for everyone to see. Though before anyone could process what she had said, there was a blinding light and she was gone, only leaving a rainbow of hope in her wake. With Xhòn gone the king tried to lead his sons in the pathway of corruption, but only one son followed his path, because he forgot the past for it was too painful to bear, but the other son lived with the rainbow from his mother imprinted in his brain. For every new ruler there is two sons one who takes the path of Xhòn and the other who follows the dark king. Xhòn always watches over us from her perch with the angels and her husband grabs our feet from hell trying to corrupt us like he did with his son. That is the legend of Xhòn. But how can that help us find the Rebel Underground."

"I know where we need to go!" I exclaimed, the wheels turning in my head, "Thank you Xhòn."
