Sarah's POV

I walk out of the arena and into the large free space. Everyone is moving to their own rhythm, coming back into the regular world only for a small amount of time, to talk to another person. Walking quickly through the crowd of people and out into one of the many intricate corridors; I weave my way through the endless hallway until I finally make it to my room.

Looking around the earth barren room I see a small bunk bed pushed against one of the sediment walls and a single on the opposite wall. Guess I'm sharing, I thought. I put my bag on the single bed and left the room.

Sitting peacefully in a secluded corner I don't notice the official looking lady walking towards me. Her clothes look as if they haven't gone a day without being ironed and her face is pulled into a permanent grimace. Her hair is pulled tightly into a bun, and on the crown of her head sit pristine, never before used, just for decoration, glasses.

"Are you Sarah?" Even her voice demands formality.

I nod without a sound.

"I thought the rulers daughter would be better than this. Better groomed, and definitely better mannered," she muttered under her breath.

"Would you like to repeat that." I said sickly sweet.

"Oh I was just saying what a pleasure it is to meet you." She contorts her face into what I suppose is a smile.

"No, really what did you say. I would really enjoy you saying it to my face."

"Okay then. I thought you wouldn't be such a brat. That you would comb your hair and you would actually have manners and respect for your elders. Being the rulers daughter and all."

"You've got to be fucking with me, You're going to complain to me about fucking respect. And who give a damn if I don't comb my hair and don't raise my damn pinky when I drink? I've been through a hell of a lot more than you ever will so I don't want to here one more word out of your mouth that sounds even remotely like whining or I'll show you what hell looks like. You hear?" Never once did I raise my voice or yell. I said it all with a straight face and an almost inhuman calmness.

"Yes m'am! Loud and clear." She says shock and fear prominent on her face.

"Now that that's cleared up. What did you come over here for?"

"I-i h-ha-v-ve n-n-ews"

"About. . ."

"Its you sister she's alive."

My expression goes from one of complete calmness to one of complete shock in less than a millisecond. What?! No, she can't be I saw her die along with my parents. I saw her lifeless body. I cried over her death. I-it can't be.

"She is currently with Tyrant. He has trained her to be the only one that will be able to find and kill you. Just as the prophecy says."

I almost didn't catch the last part.

"Prophecy?"

"Yes the Prophecy. But you will learn in due time. All in due time."

I stare astonished at her as she backs away quietly then turns around, resumes her perfect posture and briskly walks out of the room.

Her words float in the air, for only my eyes. Your sister is alive. . . She has been trained to kill you. . . It is all in the Prophecy. . . All in due time. . . The Prophecy. . . Sister. . . Kill. . . Alive. . . Tyrant. . .

Suddenly there is a comforting presence next to me. I look up to see it is Kat and Shawn. They both look worried but I just continue to watch the tears that were once pooled in my eyes, stream onto my knees. Making my already dark jeans black. The salty tears soak into the fabric and the coldness seeps into my skin forming goosebumps hidden by the dark fabric.

Kat's hand on my back sent warmth to overpower the feeling of the tears and the goosebumps quickly departed.

"What's wrong" she asks softly

Her question made something come over me, causing my body to convulse in laughter. As she tried to comfort me it only made it worse, and the hysterics I was in increased.

"You want to tell us what's wrong?" she said.

"You think I'm sad?" I continued to laugh. I could feel my face turning blue as I wasn't taking in enough oxygen, which caused me to start coughing as well.

"These are happy tears, my sister is alive." Looking up at the ceiling, I yell, "You hear that Xλόη I'm coming home!" I don't know what came over me just now but that was scary, it felt like I was channeling someone else's emotions. I'm coming to find you Hope, to set things right.
