I sat there in horror and stared at the police man. Sh*t, Sh*t, sh*tty, sh*it, sh*t. Kat and Shawn looked back and forth between me and the picture, shocked and confused looks on both theiaces.

"No" I said, ;both unconvincingly and awkwardly.

"Well though it is poorly drawn I can see the resemblance." he replied holding the paper up to my head. "You know I could get a hearty amount of money if I turned you in."

"Yeah but you could also do the right thing and let me go." I said hopefully.

"What did you do to become one of the most wanted fugitives in the country? Did you kill someone, steal really valuable things, or did you commit the ultimate treason and steal from Tyrant himself?"

"I didn't do anything."

"Give me a good reason to let you go and I'll consider it."

I cursed under my breath. The only way I could convince this guy to let me go would be to bribe him with money I do not have. "You want a good reason, fine. I am the daughter of the firstborn son of Damon, the former ruler of these lands, therefore I will rule when Tyrant dies. And I guarantee I will remember this when I rule so make your decision. Either you give me to Tyrant and I would escape from him again, then find you and kill you, or you let me go and I reward you later on. Choose wisely."

Everyone in the room looked completely baffled, but a at and Shawn also looked hurt. I looked at then and said sorry with my eyes, hopefully they got the message and will forgive me.

"You're lying!" The police dude proclaimed.

I lifted the sleeve of my shirt to expose my shoulder, and wiped away the foundation I used to cover the tattoo of my family crest. Given only to the firstborn at the time of birth. Both my dad and I had them. Tyrant has one just like mine only his is black and white instead of the fully colored one, like the one on my arm. He stood speechless, then slowly took the keys out of his belt loop, unlocked the door, and left us free to go. As soon as we got outside I resumed the path we were on before we were intercepted. I looked back at Kat and Shawn to see them stuck in place. I walked back towards them but when I was about three feet away, they took a step back for every step closer to them I got.

"Is it true? What you said in there?" Kat asked.

I smiled sadly, "Yes, I'm so sorry for not telling you its just th-"

"Save it!" Shawn yelled, "How can we trust you? You've been lying to us since the beginning! What's next clouds aren't made of water, babies can talk like friggin Einstein? Why didn't you tell us? We could've helped. You just didn't trust us, that's it isn't it." his voice cracked on the last sentence. I stared at them pleading them with my eyes to understand.

"I only lied to you to protect you. I swear, you are my family I would never intentionally hurt you." tears started welling behind my eyes. "please believe me."

"You lied to protect us, or yourself? Do you know how much it hurts that you didn't tell us earlier, that you would tell a complete stranger but not us? Well it hurts like hell."

"Please, no, I never meant to hurt you. Please understand. I promise I'll make it up to you. I swear, we can start all over, I'll do anything just please forgive me."

"How do we know your promises aren't just a lie too?" A tear slipped from my eye, the dam holding the salty liquid in, cracking at their words.

"Please don't leave me. You're all I have left."

"Why don't you just go running back to your daddy in the castle? It will probably be better than leading us around, you can be pampered hand and foot, and maybe while your at it you can lure more idiots into your trap. Then why don't you kill off their parents too, that way their stuck with you. Plus even if we did stay how do we know you are actually going to take us to the Rebel Underground? How do we know this isn't all just an elaborate hoax? Goodbye Sarah, I hole we never meet again. And we will find The Rebel Underground on our own." they started walking away as I collapsed to the ground the dam finally breaking and my heart wrenching cries echoing into the night, Kat and Shawn's figures slowly getting smaller and smaller, getting farther and farther away from me. I looked up into the night sky.

"Can you feel this Xhòn?"
