Chapter 16-Another love?
Rosemary's P.O.V.
I gently pushed open Jake's door, thinking it was ok to go in since they were expecting me at some point. I didn't see anyone in the main room but I could hear laughter and screaming coming from the kitchen.
I started walking towards he kitchen, thinking that they heard me coming into the house, but not a hundred percent sure.
"Hel- AH!" I screamed as I turned the corner and closed my eyes before the impact of flour got in my eyes. I blew the flour off my lips before looking down at my attire. My once brightly clothes were now completely covered in white flour including my brown shoes.
My head shot up to see what everyone was doing. Jake had some kind of dough looking stuff on him while Melody and Amanda were covered in flour just like how I was, only now I think that I got more flour in my hair and on me than the both of them combined.
"What is going on?" I asked in a calm voice, but on the inside I wasn't sure whether to join in or be fuming at them for getting it all over me.
"Sorry Rose, didn't hear you come in or else I would have warned you. I tried to make cookies and these two decided to start throwing flour at each other," Jake explained.
"Why am I not surprised that you two would start something like this," I mumbled while shaking my head at the two girls in the kitchen. They both gave me a cheeky smile before Amanda raised her arm in the air.
I quickly ducked behind Jake while he was turning around. He started coughing while I couldn't contain my laughter anymore. I was bent over, holding onto my stomach as it began to hurt from all the laughter leaving my lips.
"You think this is funny?" Jake said while giving me a look. He then looked at the other two girls behind him, noticing that they had no where to run while I still had the opportunity to leave the kitchen and run away from all of them.
"Yup," I said once I stood up straight. He raised an eyebrow while I noticed that his hand twitched. Before he could even raise his hand, I was running out of the kitchen like a mad woman and made a dash for the stairs to hopefully escape all the ingredients being thrown back and forth.
I heard the girls scream and I couldn't help but start laughing again. By the time I was at the top of the steps, I could hear another pair of footsteps following me. The only thing was that the beat the footsteps made were much quicker than my own.
I screamed before dashing into a random room. I left the lights off while trying to think of what room I landed in. I was very cramped and had no where else to go if he found me in here.
"Where are you Rose?" I heard Jake taunt while I saw his shadow pass the door that I had entered. I held my hand over my mouth, trying not to let my laughter out so he couldn't find me.
"Owe," I said when I felt something hit my head. The door suddenly opened while a stick fell down in front of me. I glared at the thing that had hit my head only to realize that it was a broom stick that had hit me and given away my position.
"My sweet Rose," Jake taunted. I went to look up at him, that sinking feeling back in my stomach, but he grabbed a hold of me and whipped all the ingredients that were on him, onto me.
I screamed while I felt all the cookie dough stick to my clothes and more flour fall into my brown hair. I could only imagine how much of a mess I looked like.
"There, now everyone has gotten revenge," Jake said when Amanda and Melody finally came upstairs to see what was going on. He had let go of me already and the girls looked at me and started laughing. I playfully glared at them while running my fingers through my white looking hair. I made a face of pure disgust when I touched something soft and gooey in my hair.
