Chapter 15-Losing my mind

Rosemary's P.O.V.

"Rose?" someone called to me, but all I could see was darkness.

"Rose, come on, get up," someone yelled a bit louder. I groaned while trying to move my body. I was surprised that I got my hands to move so I was able to rub my eyes.

I opened them to see Heather standing over me, and behind her was the lit up Christmas tree with a few little gifts underneath them.

"Heather?" I questioned while looking around the room, curious if I was really back home or not.

"Yea sleepy head, it's almost ten and if you don't get up now then your breakfast will be cold," Heather stated while walking over to the kitchen.

I walked over to the tree and started moving the presents around to see if there was the tiny mouse hole anywhere, but it seemed to be no where around in the room. Looking towards the couch, everything was in its spot.

"Do you want your eggs scrambled or-" Heather stopped talking when she saw me under the tree near the outlet for the lights on the tree.

"Are you ok?" she questioned me. I wasn't sure if I was actually losing my mind or not. What the heck had happened was everything just a dream? Was there really no nutcracker or Sugar-Plum Princess or evil warlock, Tyrant?

"Did you have a crazy dream about a warlock and a nutcracker and Rudolph?" I started questioning Heather. Her eyes widened in size while she made the motion that I was going crazy.

"Hey I'm going to hang out with some friends, I suggest you get a bit of fresh air too," Heather said while reaching for her jacket.

"Heather please answer my question!" I yelled while she closed the door. I started running my fingers through my hair, unsure of whether to believe everything or not.

"What is going on?" I whispered to myself, not believing anything. My sister was still acting cold towards me, it was now officially Christmas, I wasn't in my ballet costume that I fell asleep in, and there's no way I should be home, I should still be in the mouse hole.

Then it came to me. I quickly grabbed my jacket and threw my boots on, just realizing now that they weren't anywhere near the couch, but in fact near the front door.

"I must be losing my mind," I said before quickly rushing out the door. The only problem was I ended up colliding with someone and we both fell into the snow. My hair flew everywhere while the person started laughing.

"Hey Rosie," Melody said while trying to help me up. She started brushing some of my hair out of my face while I brushed the snow off my jacket.

"Hey Mel," I said before realizing what I was about to do, "I need to go!" I had yelled before slipping on the icy sidewalk and falling into someone else's arms.

"Good thing I caught you," Jake said while helping me stand up straight without falling this time.

"Stop running, I'm not being the next person you knock over," Amanda stated while getting out of her car and walking over to me. I finally noticed that my friends must have got here by Amanda's car.

"What are you all doing here?" I questioned, wondering why they weren't with their families on Christmas day.

"We're here to see you silly, we heard your sister ditched you again, and thought you could use the love from all of us," Melody said while walking closer to Amanda, Jake, and I.

"Now, let's go get some hot chocolate," Amanda said while walking back towards her car and driving us all to the little cafe in town. I couldn't seem to wrap my mind around the events going on. Yes my friends would visit me whenever my sister left, but I still wasn't sure how I was back home.
