The Constable woke up to find herself in her bedroom, on her bed, still fully clothed. She brought a hand up to her head and groaned at the sudden and immense pain. She threw her comforter off and stumbled across the room, making her way to the door to the corridor.
The swung the door open, immediately squinting and groaning at the light. She brought her hand up to her head and stumbled her way into the kitchen, finding The Doctor already in there. "Doctor," she said, plopping down in a chair in front of the table, "Please never let me drink that much again."
The Doctor smiled and placed a cup of coffee in front of her, "I wasn't planning on it. Now, drink up. I know you hate coffee but that should help."
"Thanks, Doctor," said The Constable, taking a sip of her black coffee and grimacing at the taste. "So, what's on the agenda for today? Something fun, I hope."
The Doctor smiled, "It's always something fun with me. But first I think you should let that go away. Can I get you anything to eat?"
The Constable simply shook her head meekly and sat for a moment before she sat up right and placed a hand on her mouth, racing to the bathroom with The Doctor hot on her heels. The Constable made it to the bathroom and bent over the toilet, belching, thankful that The Doctor was there to hold her hair back for her.
The Constable looked at the sick in the toilet and groaned, wiping her mouth with some toilet paper before throwing it in the toilet and leaning against the sink. She groaned as The Doctor flushed the toilet and sat next to her.
"I'm so sorry you have to see this, Doctor," said The Constable, "I really should not have done that last night."
The Doctor smiled, "It's quite alright. I just wanted you to feel some of the repercussions of drinking before I gave you this." He held a small blue pill towards her, "Did you really think that I took you to Barcelona and let you drink without getting you some hangover pills? No, I picked them up after you passed out."
The Constable sighed and looked at The Doctor thankfully. "I owe you." She took the pill and headed back to the kitchen to get a drink of water to down it with, taking a seat at the kitchen table to let it do it's job.
The Doctor came into the kitchen behind The Constable, a grin on his face. "Yes, you do," he said, "And I would ask you to make us some breakfast, but the last time you attempted that, you set the entire place on fire."
The Constable smiled meekly in reply, "Yeah, I'm still really, really sorry about that, Doctor."
The Doctor waved her off, "So what do you want to eat this morning?"
The Constable got up, moving to dump her coffee out. "I don't suppose you want this?" she asked before dumping it in the sink at his reply in the negative. She continued on, "And what part of 'I owe you' do you not get, Doctor? I don't need you to make me breakfast. I can get myself some cereal or something."
The Doctor just moved over to the cabinets, taking out a pan. "Eggs it is!" he exclaimed, "Now, how do you want them? Oh, right; you don't even want me cooking for you. Omelet it is, then! I like omelets. I think I'll have one, too. Now, why don't you go get yourself cleaned up, while I make these? Brilliant, off you go then."
The Doctor watched as The Constable walked off, shaking her head at him. He turned to the refrigerator, taking out the eggs. The Constable didn't know it, but The Doctor would honestly do anything for her. He hadn't really meant it when he'd agreed that she owed him, but it was clear as day that she had. The Constable was always like that. Whenever someone did something for her, no matter how small, she always had to do something in return. The Doctor didn't know what it was about her or why she was that way, but she just was. When they were younger, still in The Academy, she used to not let anyone share their food if she had none they liked to give back. The Time Lady just didn't know how to accept a favor.
