Robin and (Y/n)'s first mission with each other part 2

  You swung your arm to the side as you ran,"I'm not a child you know I can run myself," you said as the both of you ran into a narrow ally way so that the both of you could jump from wall to wall and eventually reach the top of another roof,"well then be careful next time," Robin said in frustration also not knowing how that made sense, why DID he grab your hand. He didn't have time to worry about that right now.

The both of you ran across Gotham in silence the rest of the way to the murder scene, robin had a grumpy face most of the way while you were mostly interested in how many stars there were in the sky as you ran. you tried to count them all but you couldn't you now understood why Tina loves the night sky so much. You almost fell off a building looking at the sky, until Robin silently pulled on your arm to pull you closer to him. You stumbled a bit because you were still paying attention to the stars and noticed that your back had been forced against his hard chest," hmmmmbe careful (Y/n) how many times do I have to say that tonight," he said strictly. You shrugged and grabbed his arm to catch up with the speed that you were about to gain very quickly when you continued running.When you arrived at your destination it wasn't that hard to tell that it was the right place, you could see tons of red and blue light merging together to make purple as they illuminated the brick walls on every building around them. One could also hear the sounds of a few men having distant conversations. Damien leaned over the building and looked back at you,"well Batman didn't tell me there would be people hmmmm... Here," Robin took off his mask but covered your eyes first with his hand, you didn't try to stop him because you knew that they had to hide their identity. He took your shoulders and turned you around as if he was putting a necklace around you, you felt his fingers touch either your neck or your shoulder every once in a while which gave you slight goosebumps to his touch. Soon you could feel a warm mask on your face that fit you pretty well, you turned around and looked back at robin but he was in the shadows under a water tank on the roof so you couldn't see his face," you look good...I MEAN fine, you look fine just hurry up and tell him that Batman sent you and I'll sneak in through the window where the crime scene is." He informed you, you nodded and gave him a smile.

You walked almost off of the building before you turned your head to Robin under the water tank," oh and just a little tip mr. Hero, try not to sweat too much in this we didn't even run that far," Robin blushed a little after your smart Alec statement but you couldn't see, he wasn't sweating from the running he was sweating from....you? After you stopped giggling for a second it seemed as if you had just walked off of the building but you landed on a small balcony below you.

Immediately there was one cop standing in the middle of the door, he was so obvious by standing there he practically wanted you to go up and talk to him,"excuse me uh Holmes," you said tilting to the side to see what his badge said on the uniform,"eh," he said acting like you were a small fly and didn't pay much attention until he saw your utility belt and mask,"I'm here to investigate this crime scene," you stated acting as tough as you can, the policeman didn't seem to buy it,"you have a permit KID," You looked up and smirked getting ready to show him who's boss,"actually I am a new recruit for Batman as robin sir, he has sent me here under HIS supervision AND under commissioner GORDON'S PER..MIS...SION," you sounded out,"I have all of the proof on me sir check as you please," you closed your eyes and looked up holding your arms out in a wing span letting him check your utility belt and equipment, but you wondered...(why did Robin make me come down here instead of me sneaking in?)

He finished checking all of your pockets and sighed,"alright kid but I'm gonna have to have large surveillance watching you," he pointed, you saluted,"yes sir," he opened the door and slammed in on you as soon as you were alone in the building. Without a second thought, you tisked, not admiring his attitude. it wasn't hard to reach the floor that you were on, but there was little to no surveillance, just a couple of cops here and there looking out of windows and nothing more.

Not even seconds later you found the apartment you were looking for, the small apartment room had been cleared out of cops because they couldn't find any more evidence. You quickly went to the nearest window and opened it, and without having to wait even three seconds Robin had already slid in through the window with ease. He landed perfectly,"well while you took forever I checked the perimeter and it seems that someone tried to escape end left a trail of footprints that my detective mode could see."

You and robin check all of the rooms that you thought you could find the body, almost every door had a bullet mark, but there was one room that stood out, it seemed perfect. No bullet marks of signs of struggle were printed on the wall around the door or the door itself. It was perfect, Robin opened the door slowly and saw a young woman about the age of her early twenties was lifeless on the floor giving the room a satanic feel to it.

there had been a white cloth over her body but there was a large gust of wind that blew it off, she had long brown hair that got ruined from her blood that coursed through her staining the floor deeply. The woman also seemed to be dressed in formal wear, a white buttoned up shirt with a cheap looking black jacket that looked almost as if she just bought it. You couldn't look at her, unlike your father this was the first corpse you've been exposed to, and you didn't like it and your father most likely didn't either. You almost felt sick looking at her,"I'll go check the other rooms to see if the police couldn't find anything," you said before quickly darting out of the room leaving Robin speechless and alone,"(Y/n)," he said holding out his hand and leaving it there hovering on the air even though you were gone.

TIME SKIPU

"So the woman's name is Dina Finch, and her career is being a local chef to a small restaurant, not even two miles from here. We've already checked there and it seems that she left early to go on a date as her manager stated to us. She has two parents which are currently being questioned at G.C.P.D, and neither the police or us have found any clues of Dina's date coming home or any recent calls concerning if she didn't make it to that date, which means she must have died sometime just after coming home from her night out," said Robin talking to a holographic Skype call with Batman. He sighed,"alright you two good work now please come back and return to your homes let the lead detectives figure out the rest and (y/n)," he said calling you as you stood behind Robin in the background thinking,"Y-yes,","you did a very exponential job tonight, I hope you can keep this up for about the rest of your life," Batman stated sarcastically,"haha yes sir," you laughed. Robin ended the call and sighed,"I wish that we could do more for her she looks more innocent than all of the other cases I've see-," Robin turned around to notice that you weren't there anymore but did notice that a window was open letting the curtains flow with air into the room. He laughed,"she's learning from my own father dammit," He blushed and left through the window before more police officers entered the room once again.
