"I don't understand how one of the most observant zodiacs can be so oblivious," Gemini sighed as she watched the two earth signs hopelessly try to get the Maiden's attention. She and Aries sat on the couch and observed the earth signs in the kitchen.

Capricorn and Taurus both had not-so-secret crushes on their fellow earth sign, Virgo. All of the other Zodiacs except somehow Virgo herself knew that they were stuck in a love triangle. What made things worse was that the three were all very close friends. No one knew who Virgo would choose if they did confess.

"Those boys need to man up and just ask her out," Aries crossed her arms.

"Hah, Capricorn will never outright admit his feelings," Gemini snorted. "Taurus might, but Cap is too shy with emotions."

Aries shrugged. "I think he would if Taurus confessed first."

"Really? I think that would make him even more unlikely to confess."

"So are you saying Taurus will win Virgo?"

"I guess I am."

"I bet $10 Capricorn wins"

"You're on!"

"Now we can only hope they actually do something..."

The Maiden hummed quietly as she watered her plants. She had always loved nature. It was always so peaceful and pretty. She silently wished they had a greenhouse, but having a few plants was good enough for her.

"Wow, you're a really good gardener." Virgo turned around to see one of her best friends, Capricorn, walk into her bedroom. Behind him was Taurus, her other best friend.

"Thanks," she smiled. She set her watering can down and smoothed her skirt out.

"These roses smell so sweet! They're almost like candy," Taurus noted as he observed her small garden.

Virgo giggled lightly. "I wouldn't try eating them, though."

"I guess I'll have to stick to chocolate roses," Taurus signed. "They won't smell as good."

"I'm surprised you're able to grow Dendrophylax lindenii, also known as ghost orchids. It's extremely difficult to grow them outside of their natural habitat." Capricorn explained. He stood a few feet away from the plant as if he was afraid his presence would kill the rare flower.

"Really? And I thought I knew a lot about plants," Virgo said. "But I guess it is pretty strange they're growing in my room."

"It just makes you even more amazing!" Taurus complimented.

"They're probably just unusually hardy," Virgo blushed.

"Always so humble," Taurus teased. "Oh and I almost forgot why I came here in the first place!"

"No, I'm not cooking you any food or giving you any money," she rolled her eyes playfully.

"Hey! I'm not that bad," Taurus protested. Suddenly his tone got more serious. "But I need to talk to you alone."

"O-oh. Sorry, Cap, but could you leave for a second?" Virgo asked.

"It's fine," he said bluntly. He quickly turned around and left the room. Once he was outside, the Seagoat sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. "I really lost my chance," he muttered to himself. "I just hope Virgo is happy..."

-----

"I wonder if Cap is okay. He seemed a little upset," Virgo thought out loud. "Anyways, what did you want to tell me?"
