Scavenger Hunt: Earth Signs

Virgo felt the doorframe jabbing into his ribcage as Aries squished him against the door. Libra sprinted outside leaving the two males behind. Aries was pulled away and the fire signs dashed past Virgo as they ran towards one of the cars.

"Don't bother going to the car. There's no point because Air and Fire already got them," Capricorn yelled to Virgo.

"Hah, you think the Air Signs are getting the car," Scorpio chuckled as she chased after Aquarius and Gemini.

"Go to the bus stop. I think I know where the first stone is hidden," Capricorn whispered as she pulled Taurus along behind her.

"I can run too, you know," Taurus pulled his arm away.

"Then start running!" Capricorn shouted as she ran down the driveway. Virgo and Taurus followed closely behind the Seagoat. The trio turned on the sidewalk and sprinted down the street. They were almost hit by the reckless driving of one of the Fire Signs, most likely Sagittarius.

"Maybe the Fire Signs will be disqualified when they get into an accident," Virgo joked.

"Virgo! I didn't expect something like that from you," Taurus gasped, but then he broke into a fit of laughter. He started falling a little behind the other two. "D-don't make m-me laugh when running!" he wheezed. Virgo and Capricorn stifled their laughter.

"Are we going to be able to catch the bus?" Virgo panted.

"Hopefully, or else we're screwed," Capricorn replied as she wiped sweat from her forehead. A gust of air rushed past them as the bus drove by. Their eyes all widened.

"Run!" Taurus screamed. "Catch that bus!" The Earth Signs ran faster than they ever had before. Their legs were a blur as they sprinted after the vehicle. The bus was getting closer and closer to the bus stop with each second. Adrenaline coursed through their veins and they surged forward as the bus pulled to a stop in front of the bus stop.

"Stop!" Capricorn yelled. "Wait for us!" She pulled ahead of the other two Earth Signs and reached the bus just as the doors were closing. "Open up!" The bus driver stopped and opened the doors for them and Capricorn waved for Virgo and Taurus to catch up. She quickly paid the fare for all of them and collapsed into a seat. All her energy seemed to have been drained out of her. Virgo and Taurus soon joined her in the seat next to and across from her.

"You kids look like you just ran a marathon," the driver noted as he pulled onto the road.

"We basically did," Taurus said as he gasped for air.

"Sorry, didn't mean to make you run like that," he said, but Virgo waved it off.

"It's fine," he gasped. He looked over at Capricorn who was sitting next to him. "So where are we going first? I was thinking about the city greenhouse and because we're on the bus, I'm assuming you were thinking the same thing."

Capricorn nodded, "Yeah. I guess great minds think alike."

"We have to win this even without a car," Taurus declared.

"I couldn't help but overhear your conversation. Are you guys in some sort of race?" the bus driver asked.

"We're in a scavenger hunt," Taurus answered.

"And does it take place across the city?"

"Yeah, I think so," Virgo replied.

"I wish I could help you out since you don't have a car," the driver began. "Unfortunately, it's my job to drive this bus. I wish you all the best of luck."

"It's alright. We just have to get creative," Capricorn said causing him to laugh.

"You seem like an interesting bunch," he chuckled. "I'm guessing your friends are in this as well?"
