Dragon Girl

Astrid's Turn

"Stupid Hiccup making me take care of the girl, why do I have to do it?" I grumbled to myself as I set the strange girl on my bed.
I looked her over, I'd never seen clothes like hers in my life, or such a delicate face.
"Why did you wash up here?" I wonder out loud.
She shifts and whimpers in her sleep, "Night Furies....everywhere," she mutters.
My eyes widen, "Night Furies? I'd better tell Hiccup, Stormfly, keep an eye on her," I say then run out and over a bridge to Hiccup's hut, "Hiccup!"
He sees me then gets up and walks over, "Astrid, what is it? Did she wake up?" he asks.
"No, but she was talking in her sleep, about Night Furies being everywhere!" I exclaim.
"Night Furies? Are you sure you heard her right?" he asks.
Before I could answer an ear splitting shriek emanates from my hut.
"Sounds like she's awake, and probably terrified of dragons from the sound of that scream," Hiccup says.
We both start running to my hut, by the time we get there the girl is gone and Stormfly is stumbling around.
"Whoa! Stormfly, what happened?" I try to calm her down.
The rest of the group run in and start chattering.
"What was that scream?" Snotlout asks.
"It made Barf and Belch dizzy," Ruff says then Tuff falls down next to her, "Made me dizzy too."
Fishlegs taps his chin, "That scream must have been loud enough to overload our dragons' ears, making them dizzy. I bet even a Thunderdrum would have heard that!"
"Guys, guys, calm down. All we know is that the scream came from the girl we found because she's probably afraid of dragons and that she ran away for the same reason," Hiccup says.
I scratch my dragon's chin to calm her down, "We have to find her before she gets herself killed by the other dragons on this island. She's on foot so she can't have gotten far," I say.
We all get our dragons in the air to start searching the island. That girl is already causing trouble and it's only the first day.
