— dinner with his parents —

Jeni »

"I'm not wearing something decent," I said and looked at my outfit. I was wearing a plain white top, jeans shorts, a red varsity jacket, that I've taken off because it's extremely hot in Bangkok, and red Keds. "Well, it's an outfit that you would obviously not wear to eat with your boyfriend's parents."

"What do you mean it's not decent? You look perfect," Ten said as he examined my outfit.

"Well, to you. But, your parents and sister might not think like that," I said.

"Jeni, trust me. They're going to love you - okay?" Ten said assuring me as he held my hands with his and looked at me straight in eyes.

I sigh a little and nod gently with a smile. "Okay, I trust you."

"Mum! Dad! Sis! I'm home!" Ten shouted as we entered his house.

"Ten!" a lady around my mother's age came down the stairs - must be Ten's mother.

She immediately hugged him and Ten hugged her back, of course.

"I've missed you so much," Ten's mother said.

"I've missed you to mum," Ten said and brokte the hug. "And I brought our guest along with us," Ten said as he looked at me with a bright smile.

"Ah, you must be Jeni," Ten's mother said as she came towards me with a welcoming smile on her face. "Welcome to our lovely little house."

"Hello, Mrs Leechaiyapornkul. Thank you for inviting me over for dinner," I said with a smile. "It's nice to finally meet you."

So much for little house - it's like freaking huge! Well, not freaking huge, but it's huge.

"It's nice to meet you too. You are so much prettier than how Ten has described you to be," Ten's mother said as she scanned my body and face.

"Oh, t-thank you," I said with a little bow and slight embarrassment.

I wonder what Ten has been telling his family about me.

"Come, come," Ten's mother said as she showed me to the dining table. "The two of you must be starving! Go ahead and take a seat at the table, I'm going to the kitchen to get the food out."

"Do you need any help?" I asked Ten's mother before I walked in the dining room with Ten.

"Nope, don't worry. Tern is already in the kitchen," Ten's mother said with a smile. Go ahead into the dining room, Ten's father is already in there."

After Ten's mother wanders off into the kitchen, I looked at Ten who was smiling at me.

"See, you're doing fine," Ten said. "My mother already loves you."

"Don't curse it," I said not wanting something bad to happen and we walked into the dining room.

When I entered the dining room, I saw Ten's father in the dining room.

"Hello, Mr Leechaiyapornkul," I greeted him with a smile.

"Hello," he greeted me back and out of his chair. "You must be Jeni - you look so much prettier than how Ten described you to us."

I forced a smile at his compliment and thank him.

"Come and sit," Ten's father said. "The food will be out soon."
