"Uh, Jon," I begin nervously. "This is Randy," I say.

"So this is the famous Jon," Randy forces a smile.

"What is that supposed to mean?" Jon was confused but still tense.

"Uh nothing," I force a smile.

"Whatever," Jon looks to Randy. "Are you alright?" Jon then looks to me concerned.

"No thanks to you. I was just about to take her home. Something you should've done before she reached this point," Randy steps in. Why did he have to step in.

Jon looks from Randy to me confused. "Jon, I want to go home. I don't feel good and we have school tomorrow," I say. "Well I could get Alan to take us home," Jon offers.

We all look to where Alan was. He was drunk and dancing on a table. "I could walk you home," Jon asks hopeful.

"Jon, I've had enough of you tonight," I say almost regretting. "I shouldn't of even come in the first place," I sigh.

"But-" I cut him off. "Save it. I'm really tired. I'll see you at school tomorrow," I say disappointed.

All Jon can do is stare at me with hurt eyes. I hated seeing him like that. But he's done way worse to me.

Randy leads me outside and to his car. He opens the door for me. "Thanks," I say to him.

After he get in the car he turns the radio on low.

"So that was Jon," he says. All I do is sigh. "He looks young. Are y'all in the same grade," he asks me. I hold back a laugh. "What?" He laughs too. "Nothing. And yea," I smile.

Throughout the car ride we talk about lots of things. It was kind of hard lying about the whole grade thing. He kept asking so many questions. Something in me sensed that he knew what was going on.

We reach my house about 15 minutes later.

"Thanks for the ride. I owe you one," I smile. "You sure do," he smiles too, making me laugh. I look over to him and see that he was already staring at me. We lock eyes and for a moment there I thought I felt something. It made my heart beat faster. Our smiles soon faded as the moment became more intimate. Before I knew it, he was leaning in to kiss me. I've never really kissed a guy before. Well there was Tommy Sanders in 3rd grade, but I don't count that. Before he could connect our lips, I open the car door getting out. He is surprised.

"Thanks for the ride, again," I say nervously. He smiles holding back a laugh, I can tell. "No problem," he says.

"Goodnight," I wave to him. He waves back as I enter my house. It was quiet and all the lights were off. Luckily my dads car wasn't in the driveway. I make my way upstairs smiling like crazy.

Oh what a night?

-

Monday morning couldn't of been worse. I had a headache and I woke up partially late. I had to rush to get ready. I threw on a nice sweater and jeans, then quickly made my hair decent looking. I wanted to look my best on the first day but I also didn't want to be late.

I go downstairs and smell coffee. I look, confused, toward the light coming from the kitchen. I see my father pouring a cup of coffee. He hears me and looks back.

"Good morning honey bee," he says in an unusually bright tone.

"Morning dad," I reply confused. I go to grab a bowl of cereal.

"I can take you to school this morning, if you'd like," he smiles sitting at the table.

"Sure," I say not asking questions. He isn't usually like this so I didn't want to ruin it.

"Are you excited about your first day of tenth grade," he creates conversation after I sit down beside him.

"Yeah. I'm ready to see Sarah and Steve," I reply with a small smile. I didn't feel like talking that much since I wasn't really a morning person but I didn't want to hurt his feelings.

"Lily at the Brandis's?" He questions already knowing the answer.

"Mhm," I mumble as I hurried to finish my cereal.

I felt compelled to ask about mother but I didn't want to upset him.

"Could we leave now? I'm sort of late," I hesitate telling him.

"Oh, of course," he says getting up in a hurry.

"It's no rush, it's just, if I'm not early I consider myself late," I add noticing him ease up a bit.

"Alright, let me just get my keys," he says searching for them.

I notice him struggling and smile. He always loses him keys. "Tv," I simply say. He always sets them there but always seems to forget.

"Don't know what I'd do without you," he laughs at himself.

After leaving my dad asks me if we should give Jonathan a ride to school. Instead of bluntly replying, I told him that Jon caught the bus, although I wasn't sure if he did or not.

...
It was a short drive to Meadow Oaks High school. I really wasn't that worried, although it was a new school for me. Junior high didn't seem too bad, I had my friends. I wasn't going to be the oldest anymore, although.

"Have a good day sweetie. Stay out of trouble!" He says the last part jokingly. He knew I was a good kid. "Okay dad," I wave to him.

After he pulls out of the school, I turn to face the giant school before me. I take a deep breath, preparing myself.

"Grace! Grace!" I hear a familiar voice. They called my name until they reached me.

It was Steve calling my name. He held Sarah's hand for dear life as they made their way to me.

"Calm down Steve," I laugh at him. "You are beyond annoying," Sarah said to him, frustrated. "You're used to it," he brushes her remark off.

Steve and Sarah had be going steady since the beginning of 9th grade year so their one year was coming up. We've all been friends since pre-k and have grown up together. They've managed to become more than friends tho. They were 'that' couple.

"I'm so glad you guys found me. I have no idea where I'm supposed to go," I say to them.

"I'm almost positive that we go to the gymnasium," Sarah says. "That's where we'll get our schedules," Steve adds.

"Do you know where that is?" I question hopeful.

"We were hoping you did," Sarah says uneasy.

"Great," I say sarcastically. I sigh taking one more good look at the school.

"I guess we'll just have to look around," Steve shrugs.

We continue walking inside where the halls were crowded with older kids.

I hope you're still enjoying this story. I know this chapter is short but there will be more Jonathan and Grace soon, I promise. I'm just trying not to let the story end up as a cliche.

ALSO I was wondering if any of you have seen or read any of the chronicle of narnia series. I've kinda started obsessing over it, am I weird or no? But yea, I don't think the Narnia fandom is that big. Just wanted to let you know.
