''Pick up... Pick Up..Pick Up!'' I chanted angrily. My throat burned and my eyes stung from holding back tears. I paced in my room by the bed. I was too angry to sit still. Yui sat in my room listening and doing my homework. Well not really. she was looking up as much information on Dhampirs she could possibly find. ''Hello.'' as soon as I heard her voice, I burst into tears and put her on speaker. ''Sora, Sora what's the matter?!'' 

"What am I?'' I demanded. I choked back sobs for a few seconds, there was nothing but silence until she finally sighed on the other end. ''You know now huh?'' What the hell did that mean?! ''Yes, So it's true then? I'm a half vampire? or something?'' I sat on the edge of my bed and sighed deeply. ''Yeah. You are.'' She said as if she was telling me about the time my hamster died. ''Aunt Charlotte. How did my parents die?'' I asked slowly and rolled on my back. Yui put a hand on my head and kept it there for a while. ''Oh, Sora.'' My aunt cooed. ''Only your father died.'' 

"How.'' I demanded. ''He really did die from a car accident.'' She told me. ''And My mom, She's alive? and she left me?''I demande'd, the tears welling up in eyes now overflowed down my face. I had had some hardships in my life; My dad dying, my hamster, not knowing full on what love was exactly.  everyone pushing their 'love' on me. Trying to will me into something they wanted. They try to change me but they realize they can't. ''Honey, your mother didn't abandon you. She loves you. She loves you so much.'' I rolled my eyes and scowled at the phone. ''I haven't seen her since I was eight!'' I shouted and rolled over. I looked at Yui and mouthed to her that I was going to take a walk.

''Sora. You really want to know what happened to your mom?'' I closed my eyes and thought. ''I want you to tell me where I came from.'' I said finally. Aunt Charlotte cleared her throat and I could hear her shift her position on something. Her office chair?

''Sora, Your dad, Loved your mom very much. And. Before you were born...'' She started. ''Go ahead, I can handle it.'' I swore I found a nice bench far into the rose garden and sat down. ''There was this accident, and your mom...Was dying. There wasn't any other way. And I didn't want to lose my little sister. So. We took her to a doctor. a man who said he was a doctor anyways. Karlheinz. And, You mother started to act weird, it wasn't long before we found out that she was now one of them.'' ''A vampire.'' I finished and started to rub my eyes. ''And not long after, You were on your way, Your dad was just grateful that your mother didn't end up some monster. But after he died... Your mother wanted nothing to do with anything anymore. so she left.'' Yeah, Left me behind. ''You didn't seriously think all that birthday money and Christmas presents came from your Uncle and I did you?'' She suddenly interrupted. I toyed with my hair and bit my lip. ''That was mom?'' I asked incredulously. ''Of course it was. Sora. I want you to listen carefully to hat I am about to read you. It's something your mother left, In between your mattress.'' I waited and listened to her move around the house anxiously.


''Sora, I'm afraid I have to leave you.'' She began. ''It's not like I'm really leaving, it's that things just got hard and giving up was my only option. Don't be like me. Be stronger like the brave girl I know you to be. When All goes bad, giving up should Never be your option. Ever. I want to to go through life smiling. Mama is always with you. And she wants you to be happy, and grow into a beautiful young lady and fall in love with a handsome boy....Or girl if that's what you want.'' My aunt Charlotte and I both laughed at that part. Mom always did have a sense a humor, I remembered that about her. ''And who knows, I might crash your wedding one day. Never forget how to love, and be loved.~ Mommy.'' I caught myself crying again. This time, In happiness. I had doubted my parents far too much. I was glad that this blur had been cleared. ''I love you aunt Charlotte.'' I whispered. ''I love you,too.''  She chuckled. ''Good night.''

I knew what enough love was. I did. And it made me laugh. I felt invincible. I stopped laughing at once when I heard lampooning laughter join mine. I turned in a flurry. It was the blonde vampire with the curly haired vampire from earlier at school. ''No, no, It’s not like that, this isn’t love.'' I stared at him. He sounded like he was mocking again. ''What?'' I question, confused. He raised an eyebrow at me and continued, ''I can do whatever I desire until all the way.'' I felt my face scrunch up. ''What are you talking about?'' I asked again this time I was growing more agitated. ''He really is a fool. It's like he forgets I can tell when he's lying or some shit.'' I looked at the ground then back at the psycho. ''Laito.'' He said rolling his eyes playfully. ''He really thinks he can pass this off as just another one of his hunting games.'' Blondie stopped, as if her was waiting for me to respond, but he continued when I didn't.

''You know those love marks on your neck really set him off, I'm surprised he hasn't gone after you yet, made you his. What's he waiting for?'' I scoffed and folded my arms. ''I don't belong to anyone. And It's my body, I can let anyone suck my blood.'' Great going Sora, Man I sounded like an idiot. ''He can't change me or try and hold me back.'' I muttered, mainly to myself. I turned to blondie and shrugged. ''What's his deal anyways. Where's the triplets' mother? DIdn't she teach them better than this?'' Blondie's multicolored eyes widened and he as suddenly clutching his sides as he laughed. ''Funny you should mention that!'' He choked. ''You wanna hear a story, Kitten?''
