Rebecca Starling POV
Nicholas! You are impossible. I could have strangle you.....aggh.... Cool down
I sat on the feast table, take a wine glass from waiter and drank it in one gulp.
"What is a pretty lady doing here alone? Teddy bear "
Teddy bear .? Teddy bear .? There is the only one who call me this .
. Dave? Impossible. I turned and my eyes went wide. . It's really him.
"Dave? It's really you." I smile wide .
I could jump up and down with happiness.
It has been four years...
I attacked him with big hug . He look surprise.
"Did you forget me ? Dave?" I asked though I know the answer. He looks amused
"Of course not. I will remember you even if I see your ash, teddy bear."
"You still know that name, Dave." I beam.
"Of course, only am I allowed to called you that name. " he says. He gave me that nickname back to school cuz I was a cubby girl back then
"I didn't expect you to see here. I came here every year to entertain as well. "He says.
"Yeah,this is my first time here"
gosh I miss him so much. He get more handsome than before. He had tiny stature back then.
"You change a lot , tiny Dave to handsome Dave " I add.
"Thanks to that Marine School" he laughs.
"I miss you" he adds.
"Not even a call for four years" he again adds. I feel guilty for that.
"Me t.."I was cut off by
"there you are. I have been searching for you" Nic speaks in cold tone mixed with sweet tone
Oh boy
His eyes turn to Dave and then darken.
No no no no
"I think I haven't introduced myself. Hi I'm Nicholas Starling"
"He is my fr-" I say ,again cut off by Nicholas!
"I'm her fiancé" he adds.
How dare he said that. I am not even wearing the engagement ring. FYI, I forgot to wear it.
I was about to say he is my friend in case the engagement call off .
"Well, I didn't even see engagement ring on her" Dave stats in matter-of-fact tone .
Wow same old Dave, as blunt as ever.
They are glaring each other like I do not exist there
Are they shitting me ?
"Here I am . Stop glaring like I'm not here." I get annoyed .
I turn to Dave ,"As for your information, Dave, this is Nicholas Starling,my fiancé in arrange marriage which my dad did for me" he looks amused.
And I angrily turn to Nicholas that bastard
" As for your question, this is Dave Augustine. He is my best friend, my crush and it is him whom I gave my first kiss on lips, ok ?" I said. As soon as I said it, I regret it. Nic eyes get darker and jealousy burning inside and then punched Dave on the face. I get rigid. No no I can't say these words. Thanks god .it is only imagination.
" As for your question, this is Dave Augustine. He is my best friend since childhood. We got apart cuz of different university. This is the first time we met in four years"
He doesn't seem happy with my answer. But nod in acknowledgement.
"Hey Teddy bear, I have to go to play piano,now?" Dave says . Nic holds on my waist get tighter that it starts to feel painful.
"I will be cheering you. I always love your music" I say with big smile after struggle out of his hold.
"Good girl" he says and hugs me.I know Nic is pissed as hell.
But why should I care?
" Let's go to table."All along the entertainment, Nic is either holding my hands or snaking around my waist possessively. Dave got on to the stage. He makes a big smile and thumb up to me. I give him the same when I am feeling Nic's hand tighten around my waist.
Ouch That's hurt. I wonder this gonna leave bruise marks.
When Dave's play is finished , I whistle cheerfully and shout aloud "that's my Dave " and clap hard.
I miss his music,
On the way back to home , in the Car, the silence is deafening. Nic knuckle is turning pale because he is grasping the steer so hard and his eyes fixed on the road. I didn't dare say a word or make a sound. We are arrived inside his Manson after entering the gate, he turn to me with very dark eyes, I have never seen such dark.
"That's my Dave ?" He repeats. His glare is deadly.
He hit the steer.
"Nic , I'm s.." I mumble tremblingly and
"Damn you" he shouts and grabs my cheeks and attack my lips with his.
The kiss ain't like other. It is full of anguish, punishing and demanding.
I'm so scared that tears started to flow down.
Nicholas Starling's POV
All the way to home, my heart is burning and my head is exploding, I didn't talk to her cuz if I turn to her face we will end up In car accident. We arrive inside my Manson after entering the gate, I turn to her with,
I wish I'd rather blind and deaf than see the scene before.
"That's my Dave ?" I repeat her words which stab my heart.
I hit the steer.
"Nic , I'm s.." She said tremblingly and
"Damn you"
I stopped her by attacking her lips with mine. I need to show her who she belong. She belong to me . Only me.
I keep on kissing her lips . She doesn't kiss me back.
I force her to kiss me back by pushing my tongue inside her.then I start to get salty taste .
Then I stopped and then look at her in panic .
She so scared that tears are rolling down and trembling.
She is so afraid of me. I made her cry! You made her cry! Instead of making her smile because of you.
I sit back to my driver seat. She gets off my car, I don't chase her. She needs space. She get inside my mansion.
After I parked my car, and claiming my burning anger, I go inside my mansion and go straight to our room, only to see the room is untouched. She is not here. I know where she is. She is with Abby. But I can't find both of them .
Where are they, they can't leave this mansion in this minute.
I run all along my mansion, saw no trace of them. Hack Why did I Build the mansion this big! Its almost 2am.We got back at around 12 pm.
Where the hell are you.?
I run outside my mansion around the backyard and garden. I looked at my watched again. 3 freaking A.M. I called the guards and order them to watch the gate and said "nothing in and out". I looked for her inside again.
Suddenly , I remember , I haven't check the attic. I run to there. I saw her heels. Thanks God. I walk to the corridor, then only to find her laying pale in gown on the floor of corridor and her Abby is laying beside her without leaving at all. Her Abby is shivering too cuz his fur is erect. Her body is as cold as ice. Her eyes liner are ruined with her tears. I did that to her,
I won't forgive myself if something happen to her.
" Rebecca!." I rush to her. And pick her up in bridal style.
