Chapter 11

I finally arrived at what I assumed was his school. I looked around and found him going into a classroom.

"Miss Blanchard I want you to meet my Mom." He said and his teacher laughed.

"Henry everyone knows your Mom she's the Mayor." She says and I laugh. She quickly turns around slightly frightened.

"Oh no sorry don't mean to scare. I'm Emma." I say and hold out a hand for her to shake. She seems like one of those people who could be sweet to literally anyone.

"You're not Regina." She says and I smile.

"Nope I'm definitely not Regina." I say and shudder at just the thought of her name. My brain has decided not to think about her or what I did last night.

"So you're Henry's birth mother?" She says piecing it together. I just kinda nod and see Henry beaming up at me.

"I didn't even have to go find her." He says and then turns to his teacher. "She came to me."

"Does Regina know?" She asks and I realize I should probably mention it if I see her. Of course I will it's a small town and she's the only person I can consider a friend in this town so far.

"No Henry just learned, and I did to." I said and kinda made a face that said I didn't know what the heck was going on.

"Then how do you know?" She asked and I just kinda laughed.

"Well a lot of the details matched, including my name aside from at that time I had my boyfriend's name so it's a different surname." I say and she just raises an eyebrow. "And he has my ex's eyes." I say and her face lights up.

"That's amazing that you came here to find him." She says and I kinda shift.

"I didn't plan on meeting the kid actually. Just was looking for somewhere to have a fresh start and found Storybrooke. Guess it was meant to be. Maybe it was one of his stories." I say with a slight laugh in my voice.

"Wait you're staying. You need to meet Regina." She says and I sigh.

"Well we're kinda friends. Just met a couple days ago but you know." I say and she raises an eyebrow.

"Regina made a friend? That's a first." She says and turns to Henry. "Do you need a ride home? You Mom must be worried about you." She says and he shakes his head.

"She's at work today. Besides I wanna spend the day getting to know my birth mom." He says and I smile at the kid. He sure is stubborn. Right then my phone starts to ring.

"Hello?" I say answering it.

"Have you seen Henry?" I hear a frantic Regina on the phone.

"Yes. He's right here with me. Is everything alright?" I ask and she sighs in what I hope is relief.

"Can you please bring him to my house? His father is there to pick him up and if freaking out since he isn't there. Why is he with you?" She asks and I smile before I realize she can't see me.

"Oh he seems to have taken a shining to me. I will get him home as soon as possible." I say and then she pauses.

"Afterward come by my office. You remember where it is right?" She says and I just responded with yes before I hung up.

"Who was that?" Henry asks trying to play dumb.

"You know exactly who that was Kid. I need to get him home pleasure meeting you Miss Blanchard." I say and try to get Henry so he will leave.

"Please call me Mary Margaret." She says and I smile.

"Alright. Have a nice day Mary Margaret." I say and finally get Henry to leave the room.
