Regina seemed awkward as I sipped a glass of water seated on the couch. I looked at her confused, I know the situation with Daniel isn't ideal especially since they have a kid but that doesn't mean that she has to put up with that.
"Reg-" I started but she cut me off.
"Why are you in Storybrooke Miss Swan?" I looked at her confused for a second before I sighed.
"Running from someone." Is all I decided to divulge.
"Not Henry?" She asks and I shake my head.
"No, I didn't even know he was here until today when all the details matched. I panicked a little bit when he elaborated and I realized that was why he looked so much like Neal."
"And Neal is?" She asked and I was beginning to feel like it was an interrogation.
"His birth father." I answered not happy with the conversation that was in front of me.
"Do I need to worry Miss Swan?" I looked at her perplexed.
"Regina what are you-"
"Do I need to worry about you trying to take my son?" She asked looking at me as though I was some shade of daft.
"Regina, I have never been in his life and I'm in no position to try and be a mother. Besides I'm figuring myself out right now." Once I finished talking she looked at my eyes, lips, then eyes again. She looked as though she was restraining herself from something.
"Miss Swan I think you should probably head home, its getting late." She said and took my water glass from me. I blinked a couple times before I stood.
"Whatever you wish Madame Mayor." I then started making my way towards the door. Before I could turn the knob however I felt her hands at my waist trying to turn me around. I didn't turn though, instead I turned the knob and began to pull the door towards me.
"What I wish is a goodbye kiss." She said before tightening her grip around my waist. I rolled my eyes before I pulled free.
"Well then you should have thought of that before you interrogated me about my past." I said before I closed the door behind me. As I was on my way back to my room at Granny's I saw the kid headed home. He just gave me a smile and I dipped my head to him. As long as the kid was safe and not in some sort of trouble I was alright with him going home. I didn't see Daniel so that was a good thing.
I made my way up to my room, exhausted and found the sheriff sat on my bed reading a newspaper.
"Officer." I said and then basically flung myself on to my bed before groaning. I got stabbed with a spring from the matress.
