Chapter Three

Kellin’s P.O.V

Andy and I were just wandering around town, checking out a few stores. I’d really been enjoying our trip around England and I knew Andy had been enjoying it too. But we were beginning to get bored of just walking around hoping to find something fun to do.

Then Andy saw a phone on the ground and picked it up. We saw a girl walking not too far ahead of us, so Andy asked her if she’d dropped it. Turned out she had dropped it. Honestly, I was stunned by what I saw as she turned to face us, and I’m certain Andy was too.

She had long golden hair that got curlier as it went down and came to her lower back. On her head she was wearing a black headband. She had an awesome nose ring and large hoop earrings. She had on a Black Veil Brides t-shirt and a pair of shorts which flattered her long, tanned legs. Her face was unexplainably pretty and her green eyes shone amazingly in the sunlight. In a word… she was beautiful.

She thanked us for picking up her phone and I said, smiling “No problem! I see you’re a fan of Andy’s?” It turned out she was a fan of mine too, which made me happy. She then showed me the t-shirts she got that day. I loved her enthusiasm.

I looked over at Andy. What had come over him? He was just shamelessly staring at the girl with a dazed expression. I think she noticed and got all awkward and said “Sorry about me, you guys must be busy or something. I should probably go. It was great meeting you two, I’ll never forget it!” Maybe she thought she’d been annoying Andy or something.

She walked away and I looked at Andy impatiently. He’d just driven her away and she seemed really nice. When she walked away Andy snapped out of it and called her back. He even asked if she wanted to hang out with us! ‘Nice save’ I thought.

We chatted as we walked together as she led us somewhere to hang out. While we were walking, Andy and I couldn't help but to keep glancing at her and I think she noticed a couple times. She ended up saying how her friend was really beautiful and how that made her feel self-conscious about herself. I could hardly believe what I was hearing. This girl was so beautiful, how the hell could she not see it in herself? I had to try and reassure her.

“I seriously doubt she’s more beautiful than you are, I honestly wouldn’t worry” I said grinning at her. I genuinely meant it. She didn’t believe me though, but I knew she was touched by the compliment as she turned bright red at my words.

Soon after, we found out her name was Katie. But she refused to tell us her middle name. Why did she have such low self-esteem? I wished she’d learn to love herself; she was amazing.

I thought she’d been going through a rough time, judging from things she’d said before. I hoped she’d be okay.

I had an awesome time hanging out with Katie and Andy that day. We chatted and laughed about a whole bunch of random things. Katie even forced me into a handstand competition which resulted in me almost tickling her to death. At one point we accidentally looked into each other’s eyes. ‘Those eyes sure are beautiful’ I thought. I could have sworn I heard a small “Wow” from Katie. No, I must have been imagining things.

After a while we headed back to the campsite and hung out in the caravan and soon Katie had to leave. We wouldn’t let her go without hugging us and giving us her number. Rather reluctantly, she left and I couldn’t help feeling sad.

Andy’s P.O.V

Kellin and I had just been hanging around, starting to get bored when I found someone’s phone on the floor. There was a girl walking nearby so I asked if she’d dropped it. I stopped in my tracks as she turned around and I got a glimpse of her appearance.
