Ashlin Everdeen (Peeta Mellark love story)

President Snow

I paced back and forth while Haymitch talked, "They won't take this lightly...you deceived them, and  they don't like that. You've broken the rules and your love will be put to the test."

"I'll say...." Effie inquired. "You two have made the Capitol look foolish, and now they will want you to pay for your actions..."

"I know...I know, what did you expect me to do? Let Peeta die....or even myself!?!" I yelled at her. " I couldn't do that...I love him!" I said and then leaned against the wall with my arms crossed.

Peeta then decided to step up, "I would have done the same...I can't go home a victor, because the love of my life would be gone." He said, I smiled at him and then Cinna pointed something out.

"They only want a good show......and besides, they are going to be the Capitol's sweethearts." I smiled to Cinna and he returned it.

"That's a good point," Haymitch then cracked a smile. "Now...what do you plan to tell Ceaser when they asked what you were thinking?" Before we could speak he spoke again, "That you couldn't help yourselves."

"And your just so in love." Cinna said, finishing for Haymitch....

When we are now called to the stage for the interview , I'm dressed with my hair down in curls and gold make-up. I'm in a beautiful white knee-length dress and white heels. I didn't see a sixteen year old with her boyfriend, I saw...a young woman. And when I looked at Peeta sitting beside me, I saw a young man with eyes full of love, clean slick back hair, and a suit matching a young woman's white dress.

"Wow...Ashlin...what were you feeling when you found Peeta by that river?" Ceaser asked calling my attention.

"I was feeling love, happiness...and seeing my future with him flash before my eyes." I said with a smile toward Peeta.

" Adorable...just amazing, and Peeta....how did you feel when you discovered Ashlin went to get the medication?" I held my breath for Peeta's answer as he thought on it, then he finally said,

" At first I thought someone had gotten to her, which made my heart brake, then I heard her coming into the cave...I was a little mad. But, I love her....and as soon as she put the medication on my leg, I felt automatically better. I'd like to just thank the Capitol for that. Thank you!" He said, I loved the reaction of everyone,who all cheered seeing as they are 'The Capitol.'

"Well....everyone, the Capitol's Sweetheart's! The star-crossed lovers from district 12!" Ceaser yelled to the crowd, who all cheered and went even louder when me and Peeta shared a kiss. For the moment, everyone else was gone....

After the interview, we didn't get any time to dress down or anything, we were automatically escorted by peacekeepers into President Snows presents. There out on his balcony, he crowned Peeta and I in front of all of the Capitol, who cheered and enjoyed seeing us. Then, we were escorted to Snow's office, where I grew weary.

"Hello darling, sit down Ms.Everdeen." I quickly and quietly did as told. Snow waved his hand over to Peeta, and he was escorted out. I began to get scared,

"Where are they taking Peeta!?!?" I said paniking.

"Don't worry dear, you'll find out." Those words scared me and I didn't know where my boyfriend was...I was just scared.

A screen appeared before me and suddenly there was Peeta, and Cato? Peeta was dressed in what he is now though, and Cato was dressed in a full black suite. Before my eyes Cato was pulling a knife, that couldn't be correct, Cato was dead...right? This has to be a trick, I watched as Peeta's shocked face grew with more horror, and Cato walked toward him. Why wasn't he moving,

"Peeta...move!" I yelled, be couldn't hear me and then Snow made me watch as Peeta's throught was slit. "No!!! You mother fu**ers!!! " I cried and then out of spite, I broke the screen. "Peeta....no, no, no!!!!! This isn't happening!!! Why?!?! Pe-Peeta!!!" I cried, tears streaming down my face. Then I longed at Snow and yelled at him, terrible curse words over and over again, as two peacekeepers held me back.

Snow told an other peacekeeper to do somethings and then I heard the sweetest voice in the world,

"What did you do to Ashley?!?" I stopped my rant immediately.

"P-Peeta?!?!" My voice was horse from where I had been screaming.The peacekeepers let me go, right into Peeta's arms where Snow smiled presently and my UN-dead boyfriend had to carry me back to where we were staying before we got on the train home.

"What did he do?" Peeta asked sweetly. I just shook my head still crying at the trick and illusion that Snow pulled on me to test my love.

President Snow is now officially, my worst enemie........and he had the nerve to send me a letter on the train telling me he respected me and my honest love for Mr.Peeta Mellark. I ripped the letter to shreds and cried myself to sleep in Peeta's arms......
